Before I spend an hour comparing all the cards I have in the conversion kit, is there already a list of the contents that have not been re released in 2nd ed please?

I'm meaning monsters as well as heroes.

All of the monsters and most of the heroes have been released in the Hero and Monster collections. A good list is here , but I'm not sure why you're asking for it.

What do you mean by missing bits? The conversion kit includes cards for every monster and hero that ever had a card in 1st ed, including promo heroes and heroes from the game Dungeonquest. It expects you to have the plastic figures from 1st ed though.

I know quite a lot of the monsters/heroes in the conversion kit have been re-released as 2nd-ed versions afterwards, but some are still outstanding. So as I own all of D2, I have most of the stuff but not all from the kit. So if I wanted to proxy any monsters/heroes of 1st ed with minis and use the cards, which conversion-kit stuff doesnt yet have a re-released 2nd-ed version

That thread seems to suggest all monsters have been re-released too which is great, though some heroes still missing. Cheers.

I know you can find the list on boardgamegeek.com (i.e. Descent 1.0 heroes not reprinted in Descent 2.0), but I have no suggestion on how to find it there ?

These are the 12 D1e heroes that have not be released in any form for D2e:

Bogran The Shadow
Brother Glyr
Eliam
Hugo The Glorious
Kirga
Landrec The Wise
Laughin Buldar
Mad Carthos
Red Scorpion
Tobin Farslayer
Varikas The Dead

Well they are available through the conversion kit :)

Red Scorpion and Eliam are already remade for Runebound expansions, also I think Landrec The Wise is shown on yet unreleased Heroes of Terinoth card game. I hope they will get those heroes remade for current edition. It would be awesome to get 3 more hero and monsters packs to contain them and to be able to use them in Road to Legend. Tobin Farslayer  was one of most played 1ed heroes in my group, same was Hugo- and those two ware one of very few minis that actualy had nice looking sculpts, but no one ever touched Kirga as far as i can remember
