Will it have generics, or be named pilots only, like Sabine's? And where do you guys see it falling in terms of point cost...about the same as the standard TIE or slightly more?
Couple of questions about the Mining Guild TIE
Sabine? Hardly so. I think only Ezra handled one in Rebels. The named ones will be those dudes that fought Ezra.
I'm thinking generics are a sure bet since it seems to come from an organisation rather than a band of heroes.
As a side note, I like the way that new Scum seem to be playing with the obstacles much more than any faction ever has before. Seems like a cool little archetype.

I meant the Sabine's TIE Fighter expansion, which only had named pilots. I was wondering if the MG TIE expansion would be the same, although I would tend to agree with @HealOverTime.
I’m interested in seeing the movement dial. The RPG write-up (in the book with Kanan on the cover) says that the cutouts on the panels reduced power, and as such, speed. Will that be reflected in XWM?

Hopefully so. I'd rather they be cheaper and weaker than the same.
They have a probably single use, "avoid/ignore asteroid ability", so perhaps that will mean dial gets worse and price stays the same.

Maybe swapping the 3 turns for 1 straights and banks - but then they're stepping AAAALLLL over the Scyk.

I always felt the Scyk needed to take a weapon upgrade, (except light sunny and mindlink inaldra).
Now we have no light Scyk, the Mg Tie could be just what we need. I feel it will have a similar dial to an old Scyk, no target lock and maybe red evade. Could we see if it had three evade?

I am REALLY going to miss Linked Battery on Sunny. It was by far and away the coolest thing you can do with her.
I wouldn’t mind seeing it basically be another tie with a slight price bump for the ship ability. Maybe the dial being a little different works too?

I agree that the MG TIE probably will be filling the light scyk role. It's also doesn't care about asteroids when moving so seeing how that works out in strategies will be interesting.

When they enter play, put a Purgil unit in play on the opposite side. It hunts down this TIE until it collides and destroys it.

Same as an Imp and Rebel TIE. Article implies they have the same similar maneuvers but at worse difficulty. The dial is in the article.
Fly over asteroids? That's like 1.0 stuff right there.

There's already cards that do it in 2nd (Dash, Qi'ra).
Also, it's worth noting that it's ONLY asteroids. They are fully affected by debris clouds.
Edited by IxidorI like the subtle but important distinction from normal TIEs, preferring cluttered space over open area. Pretty nicely done, IMO, and I was very prepared to dislike having to buy YATF.
The design team has done some impressive things in terms of separating designs of similar ships. Resistance Falcon will be very different than the Scum and Rebel Falcon.

Yea, it loses the 4K, and the 5 Straight becomes red.
Fits with what the RPG said was a consequence of making the panels smaller.
