And MHD-19!
Har! His pose would fit Skirmish Gideon way better than current model. He does rarely move, let alone firing his gun!
My Gideon us a cold blooded killer. He always rolls well.
Can you read what it says?
I'm trying to see what the green lady is.

So you're saying that's not Link?
Weird.
Still holding onto my conspiracy theory that the Imperial Specialists are upcoming heroes in an Imperial campaign.

I’d buy the theory. It makes sense that we’d get an astromech hero eventually.
I guess, with Masterstroke, Gideon can command in both IA and Legion ... and I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he's masterstroking from a Mon Cal bridge in Armada

I'd be very curious regarding the mechanic of such a hero. Maybe the astromech droid would come with a starfighter pilot companion!

The mechanic is just like in the movies. You are a literal Deus Ex Machina. A tin can that contains the exact device, weapon, or appliance needed to successfully accomplish any task on the first try, even without advance planning.
Are you saying that's not R5 Astromech?

So more of a support character than, let say, a rebel version of BT-1. Personally I'm not sold into such hero. Might be fun for a mission or two, but over the course of a full campaign, I'm not so sure ...

I said ANY task. Including murder.
On the flip side, potential model for some of the droids in IA?

I do not recall an astromech droid "murdering" people in the movies. R2 did destroy 2 super battle droids and a buzz droid in RotS but that's pretty much it.
Usually class cards define the type of a character and too me, an astromech droid hero would better fit as a supporting character. Not saying he wouldn't be able to kill imperial units, but like for example MHD who's natural build is a healer-supporting character, I feel the astromech would fit the supporting role better.

My attempt at humor is obviously not working. I just meant I think it's borderline absurd how R2 seems to have exactly what the situation calls for in any situation, especially in the prequels.

Hmm, how do I make this portmanteau work?
R2-Dexter? No... Oh! Assass-tromech droid!

I see! English is not my first language. I missed that humor part from your comment. I guess I would have been that guy laughing because others in the audience are laughing too ...
I feel like an Astromech class might be fun if most of its equiment cards were Weapons, Armor, or Equipment, while a few cards allowed for the ability to carry more of each type.
Would have interesting effects on shopping, since the droid would be able to upgrade its own equipment, but also could carry more and could benefit from buy more stuff too.
T13 from KOTOR isn't a bad baseline.
Regarding the idea of imperial heroes: I can imagine something like the heroes in Jabba's Realm - the imperial heroes would be the protagonists in a Campaign where they would defect to the Rebellion, and their skirmish-version would belong to the imperial faction.

afair BB-8 Cleaned up hangar bay full off stormtroopers with captured walker in TLJ

That would definitely be the simplest way to do it.
Maybe someone has proposed that before, but I know I've never read that idea. Good thinking.

This idea ties in naturally to a Rogue One (Bodhi Rook type of hero) inspired campaign.

Yet another reason that movie was terrible.
(Pst! TLJ is fantastic! Best SW yet, IMHO)
