With two side hull zones on an SSD, Enhanced Armament and High-Capacity Ion Turbines become more useful.

I doubt, anyone would want to fly into the front hull zone anyway. Opponents will want to swarm the back side zone and rear if possible, anyway. Also, the points investment for both upgrades doesn't add that much to the cost of the SSD. Both upgrades are modifications, you have to pick one. Which?
