So obviously the forums are full of people arguing about the additions of the new Republic and CIS factions, but I'm curious what the general consensus is. So I made a poll on twitter:

As someone that likes to have enough ships that I can feld my squad and my opponents squad, this looks expensive.

I don't have Twitter nor will I get it. I'm bad enough at self regulating my data usage as is....

Same here, no twitter but very very excited!
Im super excited. But, I do worry that the new stuff will overshadow the classic empire ships, which I'll always love. So I hope they don't make the mistake of dropping support for the original factions. Other than that, I'm 100% in.
To paraphrase someone’s comment over in the Armada forum, I probably won’t be buying into the Republic or CIS factions, but I am happy for all the players who are excited for the new factions. The more people who are happy with the game the better it will be overall.
And if the new factions steal some of FFG’s attention away from the other factions that is just fine by me. It’s going to take my wallet a LONG time to recover from everything FFG has announced over the past few months, so having a bit of a reprieve would be more than welcome.
