Yup. I'm more excited about that than I am about Clone Wars tbh, providing they're actually viable and fairly customisable.

Was hoping for Solo & Rogue One content myself, hopefully that's what will fill out the period between Chewie & the Personnel packs and the CW stuff later next year.

Agree, 100%.

Clone Wars (which I have no interest in) could be coming right at the end of next year, so there's plenty of time for much more OT content, especially since they have quite a high rate of releases(compared to most other wargames, anyway).

I can’t wait for the clone Wars! Bring on the Gungans!

I said the same thing! I'll definitely try to get a core of it. Not sure I'll follow it and go to tournaments, though. Runewars is my #1 game at the moment, but I could see myself waiting for the Clone Wars Legion stuff instead of getting into X-Wing 2.0.

Lol, totally called the specialist upgrade pack in the big gencon prediction thread. I'm excited for clone wars era, I wont buy any, but will be happy to see new factions and playstyles. Probably just staying with empire for now though.

The personnel packs are a perfect way to bring imperial officers and engineers into the game as well.

It's great that the Officers can be fielded as generic Commanders OR as unit-bound mid-rank officers - clever!

One thing that would make them even better is if each box came with two head variants (Imp - 1 female, 1 male; Reb - 1 human, 1 alien)... if that was the case, I wouldn't hesitate buying 2 boxes of each from the get-go!

Wow! Getting Clone Wars is an exciting step for the game!!

How will they launch two brand new armies though? Massive "Army" packs with a starting force like we got in the base game, maybe? They'll have to have some way of jump-starting the new factions.

It might end up as a new Clones vs CIS starter box.

The best way to do it would probably be a clone wars core set alongside 2 starter armies one for each side containing the same as the core set for those already with a core set

I'd be surprised if they do separate army boxes since the core set is pretty good value and I imagine they'd rather give you two armies to potentially build rather than just one.

If you look at x-wing, it's also possible that they don't do any kind of starter for the new factions and they just expect you to buy units piecemeal.
