I looked for a video of the presentation, but came up empty.

That is one beautiful cover.

Oh dang. Any ideas what's in it? Emerald Empire was a great book in 4e, wonder if it's like that or if it's just a good name for a sourcebook.

Well that was fast! I'm curious myself, now - and I am looking forward to hearing what people at GenCon have to say about the stuff that's out on display!

Can't wait, I and some others on various forums have said that even if the 5th edition rules aren't to our liking, we'll still use FFG's version of Rokugan for our 4e games. And the new EE is exactly the book I've been looking forward to.

I think you will like the new engine. It’s smoother imho and allows you to focus on more story.

Wow, an Emerald Empire book.

First, is it bad that I like the cover of the Emerald Empire book 10x more then the cover of the Core Book? It has a nice "feeling" to it.

Second, I can't wait to read all the fluff. I'll be honestly, the main reason why I got all the 4th Ed books was for the extra fluff. The additional mechanics was just extra. I'm a strong believer that the fluff is as equal as/or more important then the crunch itself.

Third, despite my heavy concerns with 5th Edition, I'll will use this book for my 4th Edition games.

Again, that Emerald Empire book cover is beautiful.

I played the beta and wasn't completely satisfied with it, but I'm withholding any final judgements until seeing the final, complete version.

This is the third Emerald Empire book (unless I'm overlooking a 1st or 2nd edition version)! Perfectly sensible to carry that title forward into new edition of the game. This one will probably be very important for filling in the new version of the setting. I cannot wait. Personally I would be fine if this book had little to no rules included. This looks thick and weighty. The new books will look great continuing past my 4th edition collection.

It does sound like it'll be living up to the standards set by its ancestors! I love having little hooks for each point of interest.

Massive amounts of fluff for a setting I love? I'm in.

I also love that the rumors are titled "Contested Truths." It's such a minor and yet very flavorful detail.

Sweeeeet! I actually worked on Emerald Empire (my first foray into the L5R setting), so I'm very curious to hear everyone's thoughts when it comes out! I had a great time doing the research and trying to get myself up to speed for this one. Looks like the art is going to be typical FFG Gorgeous!
