Ug. Well, at least if we get Poe’s stolen tie, we might get Shriv as a pilot. That could be worth it.

I just find it a bit odd that you will be able to use the Empire's single most iconic ship in literally half of the non-Empire factions. I mean, the FO makes sense, but the others?

I do think Scum getting them through the Mining Guild getting them is more legit then the Rebels, but both are a little “eh” for me. Heh, though it does help to refer to the Rebel TIE as the experimental H-Wing.

Republic TIE Prototype

Isn't that basically the Eta-2 Actis and the V-Wing?

Proach appears to give tractor tokens to enemies in bullseye.

Can't make out Tallisan Lintra's ability personally.

Ship ability restricts turret to forward and backwards and also gives red boost after actions.

Other things I noticed:

  • The second A-Wing pilot in the spread is a generic, not Tallie
  • Proach's ability works at range 1-2 and looks like he needs to spend a token or charge to activate it
  • The A-Wing ship ability gives it the option of a red boost or a red rotate arc after doing an action
  • Targeting synchronizer: When a friendly ship at range 1-2 performs an attack against a target you have locked, that ship ignores ??? ??? ???ment - looks like this is a low-ps ordnance enabler
  • Finn appears to have same effect as before, front arc only
  • There's an upgrade (presumably gunner) which does the same thing as the TIE/SF title in 1.0. Looks like a slight nerf as you need to have the mobile arc pointed the right way, rather than deciding when you engage. Sounds like the SF will thus have a printed front arc and a swivel arc like the a-wing, while the a-wing will only have a swivel arc.
  • Quickdraw is back
  • lol, Kylo and blackout are both init5
  • There's a T-70 config card for its moving wings

The two Mining Guild TIE unique abilities lead me to believe that this version will be used very differently than the Imperial sort. Seems like they might have some amount of control effects or somesuch.

I don't even play Armada (yet), and I want to pre-order it!

Oh! They just announced Wave 3 is going to be a dozen or so different Uglies!

...all for Scum, of course.

So:

Computer Engineer (digital) = Sith

Electrical Engineer (analog) = Jedi

?

Explains a lot about my college.

The SSD will be cool until the Rebel player realizes they can just sacrifice an A-Wing squadron to get rid of it.

Did they list out which Uglies. I've always found those to be intriguing, for armed coffins (looking at you Tie wing :] ).

I think that was a joke.

Nice catch on the a-wing also getting the rotate option. I stopped reading when it looked like the RZ1 text at first, I guess.

If it was, okay. If not it does bring in some interesting options for pirate squad rp lists.

Are Uglies Cannon anymore?

Yup, they are, though I'm not sure they're called that still... but the basic concept is there.

Looks to be Republic and CIS.

Thank you for your good posting.

If Kylo is only i5 that is pretty stupid.

Yeah. And if that's not correctable by digital edit in the app, oh boy.

He hasn't shown much talent as far as I can tell. Maybe he should be lower.

Definitely thinking of picking up the AGOT boardgame now. The expansion sounds cool.

Kind of disappointed with the reveals.

A new game by Garfield is nice. But the distribution seems... troublesome. And poor Imperial Assault got shafted. I do wish I was there to get a look at that SSD prototype. Even as a non-player, it is tempting.

Seriously though... It only makes sense right? Force powered First Order leader in his signature ship, only named First Order pilot you see in the movies.

TIE/SF is my favourite ship and I use it way more than the silencer but would much prefer Quickdraw to be I5 and keep Kylo I6.

As I pointed out in another thread, Kylo at I5 is in a very similar place to where he was at 1.0 since he was 9 and there were 10s and 11s our there.

He is also very likely to have a force slot. So Heightened Perception is an option for him. Unless they think 3 pts is too expensive....

Heightened Perception is overpriced at zero points.

Good stuff announced. A little bummed about the Mining Guild TIE being the Scum addition to the wave, but that’s the way it goes.

Well we don't have the Light Scyk anymore so it's probably a good fit for that hole.

Plus it would probably play well with some Quadjumpers.

I wonder how different from a standard tie it will be. Less hull? Less agility? Altered dial?

Going from what was stated in Rebels, because they altered the panels, they handled differently and were under powered compared to the stock Imperial TIE Fighters. While I don't see FFG reducing it from a 2 Attack, I can see them altering the dials so these TIEs don't have anything faster than a 3 straight and an extra red basic maneuver (Red hard 3 turns for example) If their ship ability not been already shown, my guess would have been for these to treat any critical rolls as regular hits to represent their weaker power.

Turning crits to hits would be a nice fluffy distinguishing feature but, FFG have said they are trying to boost the amount of crits dealt.

I think no five straight, no blue turns, but it gets 1 banks white.

Maybe evade is red?

Hideous, aren't they? (even if kind of cute in a junkheap sort of way)
