So....we now have stats and costs for 2.0. Which begs the question...can the Alabaster Herd ride again?

  • The Omicron is a touch more expensive at 43 points, and has lost target lock.
  • Fire Control System and Engine Upgrade are but a shadow of their former selves
  • Tail guns are now a thing
  • Reinforce can seriously beef up a lambda's defences
  • 5/5 hits is now 4/6, which makes Minister Tua a touch more tempting

So....pricewise you need a Lambda to either be sub 50 points (allowing 4) or sub 66 points (allowing 3).

Omicron 1 gives me the ability to mass-boost every other turn, at a cost of stress (so bank/bank to clear it most of the time), and can overfly rocks twice with no penalty

Omicron 2 lets everyone start with a lock, and periodically spawns more, allowing everyone to get focus/rerolled attacks.

Omicron 3 can co-ordinate a reinforce and receive the same himself, plus a free lock. If shot at, that lock converts into a jam token on the defender, and all the while Vader is forcing the enemy to discard green tokens or take damage.

Probably a bad list, but looks fun. Thoughts?

Honestly, I've always thought that the Lambda's only problem was its dial, and not getting to shoot. Now it has rear guns, so I think they can really work!

Idk if you really need Jerjerrod or the Baffles. Just use them banks.

Probably don't need both, anyway. I suspect Jerjerrod is the better of the two since you can boost, then clear stress with a green, and still get actions. I miss-read the baffle and thought it worked like it currently does - it won't burn off stress until the end of a turn. On the plus side, it can burn off target locks; 1 damage to avoid eating an advanced proton torpedo is a nice option for Captain I'll-Take-The-Locks Kagi.
