If you have a crew member, say Kanaan Jarrus for example, who has a Force token, can you use it to modify your dice like the Force pilots can? Or is its use limited to the crew members' abilities?
Force Token on Crew Question
Crew Force Tokens can be spent to modify a die (eyeballs to hits or evades), just like pilot Force Tokens. In fact, read the Palpatine section of https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2018/7/31/the-essential-galactic-empire/
QuoteAs a crew upgrade in X-Wing , Emperor Palpatine lends your squadron similarly far-reaching powers. First of all, he adds a point of Force capacity to any ship transporting him, but the Empreror isn't just any Force user. He's arguably the most powerful individual in the galaxy, and he can use his Force powers to alter the fate of any ship in your squadron, regardless of its position.

Cool, thanks. So, typically, these Force tokens are restricted to the ship that is carrying the crew member (which is pretty standard), except for cases like Palp. I thought that was the case but couldn't find a reference.
I’m curious if a Pilot can use a Crew’s Force Tokens towards their ability ... and vice versa. Say, Ezra Crew on a Kanan piloted Ghost. I’m going to guess No, but the rules reference will say for sure.
Charge Tokens and Force Tokens are handled similarly, but not identically...
-
Both add tokens to your ship, but...
- Force Tokens are shared across the whole ship and all cards on that ship, while...
- Charge tokens are restricted to only the card that they're on.
-
Both are spent for special effects, but...
- Force Tokens can be spent from any card (Pilot, Crew, Force Power) for any effect (convert a die, special ability), while...
- Charge tokens have to be spent from the card they're on (unless it's a different card explicitly affecting those charge tokens, like Chopper)
-
Both can recharge in the right circumstances, but...
- Force only recharges one per round, no matter how many Force sources you may have (e.g. Kanan Ghost, with Ezra and Luke both on board), while...
-
Charge
Counters are kind of weird:
- Every card with a recurring Charge value recovers 1 charge at the end of each turn...
- ...while certain cards only recover Charge counters when you fulfill certain requirements (like performing a red maneuver)...
- ...and other cards can never recover charge counters on their own.

I’m reviewing the Rules Reference now and it all checks out.

So I can turn a defense die into an attack die? Cool.

D’oh, I misspoke (mistyped?) and meant “force tokens can be spent to modify eyeballs into hits or evades” ... not “ force tokens can be spent to rerole”. Original comment updated.
