2e Cluster Missiles

By Pewpewpew BOOM, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Is there a general limit (outside of charges) to the number of bonus attacks I may do in one turn?

If I can do more than 1 bonus attack, can I ping pong bonus attacks back and forth between my initial target and a single R1 ship.

Since a bonus attack would be a subset of attack, I assume that any bonus attack would need to be in range and in arc.

We have been told by devs (in one reveal or preview video or another) that there is a limit of one bonus attack per turn.

@theBitterFig answered the first & second part: ships have a limit of one bonus attack per turn.

For the last part, your assumption is correct. The card specifies that the bonus attack ignores the lock restriction; it doesn't ignore range and arc restrictions. To use the bonus attack from cluster missiles, you'll need to catch two opponents in your arc at range 1-2 and have one of them locked.

Of course, if you only have one available target, that's not the end of the world... you don't have to burn that second charge, so you'll have one more three-dice attack later on, if it matters.

Or you can throw that charge at the original guy via stuff like Saturation Salvo.
