What happens when this is the front arc of a Cymoon?

Survive the shot (it needs to do 7 damage and accuracy after die cancellation/reroll from evade), return fire and either flee or crash into it.

That's what Montferat or Brunson are for. I've had Cymoons and Liberties shoot my Brunson Raider and it just eats the one or two shield damage even if they acc the brace.
I have also found the clutch Engineering command to be very strong on a Raider. Shunting your shields to threatened, damaged arc from a safe arc keeps them alive surprisingly longer. Jast be careful with how you end up afterwards!
Also they excel at preying on any arc or ship that has primarily blue dice, or a max of 4 dice. Cymoon side arcs, Interdictors, front or rears of Home Ones, anywhere but front on a Liberty is all rather safe for them to be in.

Highlighting this because it's important. Using a repair dial to move two shields around (or regenerate one) can substantially increase a Raider's life expectancy and it's one of the reasons I'm really keen on running them with Ozzel - a nav token can take care of any speed change requirements and frees you up to repair or con fire without it being too painful a decision most of the time. When doing this, it's very important (due to the lack of a redirect) to anticipate where the Raider will end its movement so you still have good shield coverage where you need it and no defenseless exposed hull zones.
