The Quadjumper has the Tech Slot but there aren't any tech upgrades atm. Will this be the next case of having to buy FO or Resistance ships for upgrades? What do you think?

I suspect a full suite of tech upgrades will come in the standalone Quadjumper pack, and hopefully be included in the wave conversion set.

This is the part where you have to read between the lines. FFG never said you'd have all the upgrades released for each faction at the same time. Just simply that you could acquire them without purchasing other factions. You'll almost certainly have to wait for the quadjumper 2.0 expansion release to receive those tech upgrades, even if they are available for the FO and Resistance first.
