I wouldn’t mind maria as a ships name here, but for star wars it just seems weird in my opinion.
my favorite Royal Navy ships are still HMS Rodney and HMS Terror. :D

My rebel fleet is even worse, CR90, "Nothing to Declare" Nebulon-B "Mind the Gap." The hammerhead scout sister ships, "Not in the Manual" and "Read the Fine Print."
Naming the ships is a lot of fun to me. It makes them mean more, and I also make little joke stories about my bridge crews. The bridge crew for my gladiator shoots confette guns whenever The Grand Inquisitor's ability pops...

I think the "something big" was X-Wing 2.0 ... they never said was something big FOR Armada... they just wanted to tell the Armada base that something big was coming, and that it would clearly affect their announcements.
Granted, this seems implausible. But then it also seemed implausible that FFG would spend two weeks touting their HYPERSPACE REPORT for their "Star Wars products" and even go as far to as encourage all Worlds attendees to adjust their Worlds travel plan to attend only to have it ONLY be an announcement about X-Wing. And yet.... ... ?...
