(2.0) 6 x Scyks = 24!

Six Cartel Spacer w/ HCL. 6 ships; 24 red dice at range 2-3! And I actually own that many!

I noticed that one, too, and it's pretty nifty. Low-Init Large base ships would be eaten alive.

There are two other lists which I think compare interesting with it (compare as in substitute against various squads, rather than the head-to-head machups).

  • 6x Phoenix Squadron Pilots each with Homing Missile. Same stat lines, mostly, but A-Wings have a far better dial, and can red-boost after any action. Homing seem good to me, but the fact that they're only 3 points might mean they aren't? I dunno. Against a single X-Wing, that looks pretty nasty. They can't take the auto-damage, otherwise they'd die instantly, but they're not looking great against 24 dice without range bonuses. Not that the A-Wings likely get R3 with TLs, now that I think about it. But still, Homing Missiles seem OK.
  • 4x Blade Squadron Veterans with Predator and HLC. Same 12 dice if they miss their bullseyes, but only 16 red dice with rerolls if they line them up, and focuses when they barrel roll. A Scyk expects 2 damage if they have to BR to get their HLC. These B-Wings expect ~3.5. The extra Init might matter, too.
