if your going to be at Gencon this year I am going to be helping out with the Shuttle Ty podcast run some x-wing events stop by and say hello.

Happy Friday and maybe we will get some Armada news which would be super cool.

It is for the moment. I left a pile of stuff to do at work...not looking forward to dealing with it today.

Actually I need to break out my Armada stuff. Going to a SC next weekend, and I haven't touched the game in...uh...half a year??? Do I even remember how to play?

It is a happy Friday! My area has a store championship every single Saturday from tomorrow (which I'm running) through the end of August! Hopefully I'll make it to 3 of them.

I hope to god theres something. I couldnt find the excitement and energy to go to even a store champs this cycle.

How does that stop you playing store championships? These are the first widely available competitive tournaments post-FAQ unless you were lucky enough to have a second half Regional. Get out there and fight ya wussy.

Its not worth the opportunity cost for me. I have only so much time I can take away from my family. I’m unwilling to spend it on a game that is clearly on the back burner. Its one thing when I have folks come by to play, and I host a weekly game with multiple particpants. But taking a weekend day away while my pregnant wife has to watch our three year old? I have to want it. Like, really want it. And FFG’s inability to give a **** has tempered my enthusiasm significantly. When they finally bother to announce something, I’m sure my interest will pick back up.

You see, I’m quite the opposite...

With being buried in work, my separation and having to watch my kiddo grow up with me around far less.... without Arnada I’d probably have given up.

I won't be at Gen Con, but he'll be attending my lical store championship. I hope that we bloody him before sending him up to the big leagues.
