TIE Swarm Going to be Broken in 2.0

TIE Swarm going to BUBAR (Busted UP Beyond all Recognition) in 2.0

They come in, block you. Your guys get stress (or atleast they should, shout out to Lace Jetstreamer). Then next thing you know they're doing "bad maneuvers". That means red manuevers (shot out ot Lace Jetstreamer).

We need to fix this now otherwise you're going to have TIE blocks fortressing in the corner and then when you go in they just rip you apart range 1 followed by Sabines TIE dropping a broken bomb with Genius. Massive abuse. Don't know the points cost but its not really relevent because conceptually this is so broken that no points cost can balance it, play that shiznazz all day.

Might even equip multiple Genius and drop multiple bombs into my own fortress that's how confident I am.

That's all the time I have for now, have to go play a game with my friend Lace Jetstreamer with the following FIXESin effect:

1. If you bump you get a stress, roll 2 attack dice, ignore the results take 2 crits and 2 stress.

2. If you run Genius you are not allowed running bombs. It's only in the game for Integrated Astromech, Genius erratted to be an Astromech.

The truth is out there. Everyone back to 1.0, licketysplit!

Oh noes! Da skie is fawlin!

Kind of sick of the “XYZ will be broken!!!” When we don’t even have points yet.

There are two cards that are broken in the sense they outright break the mechanics of the game - Luke gunner and Genius. How effective they will be is based on what you can combo them with and costs. Trajectory simulator is nasty to have back, but with the new bombing window is less bad.

Wait wait wait...THE Lance Jetstreamer!?

WOOOOOOOOOOOW! ?

? post

Though in all seriousness, I'm VERY glad trajectory simulator still exists or TIEs would be an ungodly nuisance

Gonna need a simulator, cluster missile Deathrain for that pest problem

Wonder if we could cram that Deathrain build into something with a 5-6 tie swarm....

I really don't see how those two cards break the mechanics of the game any differently than say Qi'ra crew (can shoot when on rocks) or boba crew (can deploy outside of deployment area) or moldy crow (can keep tokens between rounds).

I'm not saying I like the design of the cards you mentioned (especially Luke), but people are acting like breaking the rules of the game makes bad design, but that's just not true. Many upgrades break rules of the game, that concept is built into the design of the game.

Get good at identifying sarcasm.

Yea and I really need everyone to be typing the quotation marks when talking about "Genius". That way I can continue to visualize you using the universal "air quotes" move when talking about such a broken card

This made my day...

Also, every card is broken in that they allow you to do things the base rules dont allow.

May I use this thread that is obviously humouristic to ask some questions about this forum?

First of all, is there an issue with Jetstream? It seems like some of you think that is a troll.

Jetstreamt, sorry if I seem rude, I just want to understand your points about the game and save time.

Second, I know that is kind of sensitive, but rebel bias? How this happened, and how violent is the fight between pro and cons ?

Please keep calm and excuse me for being myself ( rude, direct, curious, sorry)

You want to know of rebel bias? Shh, you can't speak of it in the open. The nonbelievers will come for you.

Commander, are you patient (triple) zero?
I really find most of your opinions fairly reasonable and interesting. But there is opposition, and I am quite quantic about it

I wonder if Concussion Missile would be a better follow-up. Toss everyone a face-down damage with a bomb, then flip them all face-up with the Concussion Missile proc. Granted, against ships with shields, the appeal of that goes way down.

Whilst we may not agree on this topic, I can't pass up a good meme.

We all know FFG doesn't have the best track record in predicting value of certain ships/pilots/upgrades. One thing for sure is they are trying to keep the power combos down but other than that there is not much of a precedent of what pilot/upgrade should cost what. So the meta is going to fall on one of the most basic mechanics unless there is some broken upgrade combo out there (no Luke<crew> is not going to be that broken combo, at least not at first). So these are the 2 ways I see the meta falling.

  • Initiative 6 or bust (both Arc Dodgers and Turrets)
  • Initiative 1 swarms (Mostly TIE Fighters)

No doubt what ever falls on top first is going to see some corrections (point increase, next wave coming with more counters). Either way we will see but personally...

my money is on Int 6 or Bust meta.-_-
