Rebel List

By ImperialOfficer, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

Hey there community,

Looking to give a new rebel list a try. I haven't had much practice on mos eisley or Takin yet.

Thoughts on this list? I know the quick response is that Ahsoka sucks, but I'm looking for more actionable items than that.

◄9▪ Drokkatta
◄8▪ Ahsoka Tano
◄7▪ Ko-Tun Feralo
◄4▪ Hera Syndulla
◄3▪ Gideon Argus
◄3▪ R2-D2
◄2▪ C-3P0
◄22x Alliance Smuggler

Command Deck:

◄(2) ▪ Prepared for Battle
◄(2) ▪▪ Slippery Target
◄(2) ▪ Call the Vanguard
◄(2) ▪ Heart of Freedom
◄(1) ▪ Arcing Shot
◄(1) ▪ Tough Luck
◄(1) ▪ Brace for Impact
◄(1) ▪ Hit and Run
◄(1) ▪ Right Back At Ya
◄(1) ▪ Field Supply
◄(1) ▪ Collateral Damage
◄(0) ▪ Planning
◄(0) ▪ Officers Training
◄(0) ▪ Take Initiative
◄(0) ▪ Element of Surprise

I think your big challenge is going to be vs titans / queen pieces. You will have to run from vader every time I bet.

I like your focus on CCs that keep figs alive. That seems key. With only three damage dealers you need to keep them all alive until they can trade well.

If you send Ahsoka out with a focus and a damage token she should be able to one shot a jet or riot I think, then come in for some clean up in round three.

I think this is a list you might consider dropping Hera and R2 and adding in Tress (proxy or wait for Lothal launch). At 5 points, she gives you more speed (which you need) and a fourth good damage dealer. She is super fun on tarkin, when you have her pick up an extra yellow dice.

When you do play this list - what squads do you send out? How do you split up the team?

22 Smugglers!? Oh my, you sure will grab every objective :)

JK - Looks fine enough. I'd drop Arcing Shot for Negation or a Spy card though. You're maybe trying to do too much. One strength of Ahsoka is the Spy trait.

I actually like the list, I don't really like the CC deck, I would drop Slippery Target since the main melee you're going to face is Vader and he will most likely have Parting Blow anyway. I think New Orders could be interesting since Drok will be close to Hera, Gideon and Ko-Tun in most situations and he's you main damage dealer. I would include Negation as the other point.

You also have 1 extra card and point here. Deathblow is really nice for Ahsoka. I think I would drop the Slippery Targets (drops you to 14 cards and 12 points) To add Deathblow, then drop Hit and Run to add Negation, then I would drop a 0-cost card for New Orders (or you could play Gideon's card if you wanted to give it a shot.)

Tress looks awesome. I haven't been able to proxy her, but I think she will fit into a lot of different lists.

I'm not sure how I got that far without Negation, it should have been there. I'll need to revisit the CC.

As far as arcing shot, I'm on the fence. The ability to target someone who was hiding, and use the splash damage of shrapnel or collateral damage has been useful.

Thanks for the feedback, I think you're right and appreciate it.

I would swap KoTun out for CT, once he’s available. Then you might consider dropping R2 and a smuggler for Tress as well.

Lol, but then you’ll have my list, so obviously I’d like it ?

First of all, Ahsoka doesn't suck. She's probably just a High Tier 2 unit, maybe in some lists on the brink of Tier 1. I think her problem though is that you're putting her in a list with what I would argue is another Tier 2 unit (KoTun) alongside everything else that's Tier 1 (Drokkata is definitely tier 1 when played correctly). You also don't have a ton of command card synergy, so all your units have decent cards but not the best cards for their traits.

If you're playing this list, here's a few command cards I would consider changing.

-Slippery Target, as mentioned. The only smuggler I think this card can consistently work with is Chewbacca because he can use his free slam to move a figure, then trigger slippery target so he can get into safety (or even set himself up for an unexpected attack). In place of this I would consider something surprising like Wild fury- getting 2 attacks with drokkata can be pretty bonkers. worth testing at least, and better than slippery imo.

-Field Supply. Ahsoka likes to be out doing her own thing, and with hera and focus around drokkata should have no shortage of surges anyways. The reroll is nice, but doesn't seem worth the point compared to say, negation for example

it'd be losing an activation, but i think dropping a smuggler and kotun for regular rangers would be better. obviously then the command deck would need some overhaul, but you move from having 3.5 attackers to having 5.5 imo

-Hit and Run can be amazing sometimes, would combo for some surprising attacks with Arcing Shot (and even more with Heart of Freedom)

One of the often overlooked benefits of Arcing Shot is that it allows Drokkatta to attack the figure she wants, without exposing herself. Keeping Drok in a defensible safe position while still attacking who you need to is fantastic.

I think that your list is quite good. Maybe add Han in though for Ashoka and a smuggler (Ashoka isn’t bad I use her a lot but I think Han is better in your list).

I was tinkering around with it yesterday and dropped 1 smuggler to add Han in. While I keep trying to work with Aksoka I think the Han list is better as well.

Thank you for the advice.

Also add in Heroic Effort because it’s free.

If you take out Ashoka and both smugglers for Reble High Command and Han then you can have Heroic Effort. That’s what I meant in my last post.
