Glurk. I was hoping she would, but this is nice to see!
It's bullseye only, so it's not too bad for most opponents (but is refreshingly terrifying against large based ships).
The quick builds are interesting. So...the TIE Fighter quick builds we have now seen are:
-
Gideon
- Crack Shot
- Shield Upgrade
-
Del
- Juke
- Stealth Device
-
Seyn
- Marksmanship
- Afterburners
-
Howlrunner
- Juke
- Shield Upgrade
-
Scourge
- Predator
- Shield Upgrade
-
Wampa
- Crack Shot
- Stealth Device
- Hull Upgrade
-
Valen Rudor
- Elusive
- Shield Upgrade
-
Black Squadron Ace
- Outmaneuver
- Shield Upgrade
- Afterburners
-
Iden Versio
- Outmaneuver
- Shield Upgrade
-
Night Beast
- Predator
- Shield Upgrade
- Hull Upgrade
- Obsidian Squadron Pilot and/or Academy Pilot

There's one copy in the core set, supposedly.
So...yeah. A lot will depend if you're allowed to pick the same quick build multiple times (assuming it doesn't include unique cards). If you can, 8 x Obsidian Squadron Pilots are possibly worth a look.
Otherwise, you've got 4 TIE fighters (having flown TIE/fo aces, that's not a lot ), or 3 aces and 2 generics.
Inferno Squadron as a set isn't too bad because their abilities work well together - You want to kill Seyn first, but Iden stops that. If Seyn can 'tag' you, Gideon can go to town on you and Del really ups the squad's defence, and you can chop and change everyone's movement order as needed.
But...yeah. No amount of strapping stuff to a TIE fighter turns it into an X-wing. The Black Squadron Ace pre-build versus the Red Squadron Veteran pre-build is an interesting match-up, but it's ultimately a TIE/ln being asked to take on a T-65 one-on-one.
The pilots all look nice, and with 'free build' I agree they all look promising.

Seyn, Night Beast and Wampa all having talents is a big deal.
- Night Beast getting Juke is probably a good call - because he can reasonably easily pick up focus and evade, he makes juke nice and effective (or draw fire onto a focus/evading target, which is also good)

Technically Valen Rudor does the same, although that assumes enemy attacks are shot at someone near him and/or him but doesn't kill him!
- The problem with both of them as built is that once a TIE fighter has done a focus action, other actions get much less valuable.
- Seyn with Marksmanship is pretty huge.
- Scourge with Predator is a nice build. It's very bullseye-dependent - going from 2 dice without rerolls to 3 dice with - meaning the difference in punch greater than a B-wing successfully lining up a heavy laser cannon.
