Pacific Northwest

By Qwrety77, in Organized Play

Since I haven't seen any posts around the area, I figured I'd make it broad. Any groups/stores/tournaments in the Pacific Northwest? All I really know of is Rainy Day Games in Aloha, OR (near Portland/Hillsboro).

Hey there! There are games starting to happen at Avalon Comics and Games in Silverdale, WA (across the water from Seattle) and at Battlegrounds in Poulsbo (next town over from Silverdale). Both have growing crews of regular players and I’m guessing some tournament play will be starting soon.

Looks like Mox Boarding House in Seattle and Bellevue (two locations) have started running some small tournaments.

And according to their website, Meeples in Seattle is just getting some organized play going as well.

Do you (or anyone) know if there are any bigger tournaments coming up anywhere close? I live in Portland, but I'm willing to drive a ways for a tournament. There are local players here, but I haven't had a lot of luck finding an actual tournament to play in.

I haven’t heard of anything yet, but I believe that will be coming soon. I’ll definitely post here as soon as I see something scheduled.

It's not a big tournament, but Borderlands Games in Salem, OR is hosting a free tournament on September 8th, and if it goes well there will be one every month. Prizes are store credit, with more depending on turn out. I've played there before and they make some cool boards to play on.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ce been itching to play in a tournament, but that’s a four-hour drive for me. Not sure if I can swing that, but I’ll definitely think about it.

Legion Generals of Portland is the Facebook Group

FunAgain Games in Eugene Oregon has a few players that get together semi-regular.
