With all the doom and gloom following the hyperfake blunder and the silent treatment from FFG, I wanted to take a moment to salute the excellent community that we have built.
On the front page of the forums right now are long writeups of three separate homebrew (or modified) campaign systems for Armada.
Chapter 1: the Abafar campaign
THREE!
FFG may not be generating us any new content but we have three people with their own lives to live who have taken their own time to share content in an attempt to give us more ways to enjoy the game, for free.
That's a really positive way of engaging and trying to give back to the community. That's why this game has such a great crowd: people love this game and want to help make it better for everyone.
Sure, we have the odd AdmiralNelson and there are some big personalities that butt heads sometimes, but that doesn't detract from what we've achieved in the face of negligible support.
Thanks to everyone out there, building communities, turning up to games nights every week, putting on events, creating homebrew rules, and to almost everyone I've ever played for being a great opponent.
For those about to rock(et), we salute you.
