It’s possible that cards are exposed randomly unless stated otherwise, which would account for the wording differences.

This is a common theme across ALL FFG games ...

FFG desperately needs to hire competent, professional writers and proof readers so that all of their text within rules, faqs, cards, etc. are all consistent.

After all these years, why is it so difficult for them to understand this, and execute on it?

I'm very disappointed in this ship. That's all.

Well, if you are willing to believe the text of a preview article, Strom exposes a RANDOM damage card. Which might even be correct...

I believe that he is supposed to be random, but not because of the article. Thane has a similar ability but he is explicit in looking at the cards. As these do not mention it at all it leads me to believe the default rule is to choose randomly.

There will be an errata sheet on the day of release; they've already acknowledged a couple of errors; Caption Rex, Static Discharge Vanes, maybe one or two others.

Errata aren't problematic inherently, when they're actually that - fixing unintentional errors in production, rather than fixing balance.

According to Wookieepedia , a canon character vs Juno, whos still only Legends. Not sure if thats the only reason they switched it, or if (the more hopeful) they want to use Juno's Rebel side instead. *shrugs*

I would expect that exposing a damage card does not include looking at the face down card(s) unless otherwise stated but does include choosing the card to expose.

Most of the time you'll be choosing between face down cards that haven't been revealed during play (basically random), though the ability to choose remains relevant as you might have seen some of the currently face down cards previously, and in that case can choose them or not to your advantage. However that probably isn't terribly common as it requires several independent events occurring in order.

Am I reading this right? With "Ruthless" I have to damage one of my own ships in order to change one of my results? How crappy is this? Especially for Imperials with their low-hp ships ... Hope this will only cost 0 points.

Or there might actually be a functional difference in the wording, or the wording may be completely defined and covered in the RRG. We don't really know anything yet.

No idea who Ved is. Why change something that didn't need it. I was excited when we got Juno, and now I'm sad she has been removed.

Juno Eclipse is part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor! So FFG took her away... from second edition.
