You could change the name and image and just use a broader term for snatching Followers.
Though to be honest, for now the non-Animal approach is fine. You can always expand in future if it becomes necessary.

True enough for the details.
There are Follower taking abilities of differing potency... two or three. This one's the cheapest (in comparative value rating) so far. I'm trying to have a bit of mix if possible. Once I finish rating more abilities and see the most expansive, sliding the scale of cost may actually push some of the low end ones like this one to automatic activation upon first use.
Thanks for the feedback people.
A few more experiments in cards as I delve into alternative payment units for the cost of activating an Addon Ability. All cards presented are experimental and not finalized as seen. Costs, conditions, and use instructions are subject to change as further development and investigation continues.
I've established exchange rates between 1 generic Trophy point and Trophy points of specific types and subtypes - read the latest blog post if you have any interest in this. The following cards are experiments in offering two ways to pay activation on an ability. NEXT UP... I will be evalutation such payment forms as Gold, Objects, and Fate. Lives discard for ability activation will be considered as well but only used on rare abilities (such as Vampirism, Psychic Leech, etc.)
In addition, I've conceived of a special rule to help alleviate concerns about lost Trophy points, since discarding a Trophy "card" might mean discarding (losing) more points than needed.
RULE: a player may use excess Trophy points discarded in activating an Ability to gain a Strength or Craft if additional Trophy points needed are discarded at the same time. For example:
Yes, this means players might actually have to think about what they are doing and when. (Oh Powers forbid!)
