Can the crit from Crew Vader trigger the harpoon condition?

No. Vader crew is not part of an attack.

Specifically, Harpooned triggers when you are hit by an attack (more booms and kabooms than evades), and there is at least one uncancelled critical hit result. Its trigger happens during the attack, before the actual attack damage is dealt, leading to some potentially confusing damage chains (which are the topic of an entirely different thread). Regardless, Harpooned is triggered and resolved during the attack. By contrast, Vader (crew) triggers after you perform an attack . Since his timing comes outside of the window for Harpooned, it would not trigger. As an alternate way of looking at it, when you look at the Attack Timing Chart , Harpooned happens immediately before Step 7 (dealing damage), while Darth Vader happens as part of Step 8 (resolving effects that do not perform an attack).

Other effects that do not set off Harpooned include Proton Bombs, critical damage from obstacles, or damage cards from regular hits, that are instead dealt face-up due to a Major Hull Breach .
