@GiledPallaeon I gotta know the thoughts behind this one.

@Megatronrex It's a hybrid of the two-ship ace ball lists developed by @BrobaFett and @Capt. Griff. Specifically the capital ships are closer to Broba's variant, while that is a carbon copy of the squads Griff used to win Fair Game in Chicago (CGYSO's home store, who themselves took 2nd and 4th). The theory goes that the squads should easily win the squadron war (provided their user isn't an idiot like I was game 1) and should be able to transition to bombing to extraordinary effect (which a combination of scramblers and miserable rolls prevented game 2). The idea is to win the damage race not by living long enough your output overcomes theirs (though that is how the squads handle flakking) but that you are throwing so much firepower early and have such good repositioning with Squall that you will overwhelm the other guy's defenses and the ISD can play sweeper.

I'm very curious about this list:

I get 398 for points when I add it up, not 390 - is there a typo somewhere?

I'd also like to know how this list did against the various other lists mentioned - how did it get 3 tens?

I'm interested in Intel Sweep over Sensor Net, but I guess that makes sense - you can lose the VCXs early on and guarantee the 70 points - and 70 might be a better margin than you'd get from Sensor Net anyway... very interesting.

@Megatronrex Thanks for your effort mate, glad to have something to ponder beyond the doom and gloom!

Yeah, that’s weird about the points. I think Adam’s games were uploaded on Youtube:

According to his rnd 3 opponent, it was 398, so the OP is less than factual....lol.

I refuse to believe it. It's an obvious conspiracy orchestrated by @Space_Cowboy17

It was an error in the documentation by me

By being flown by one of the best and most scientific Armada players I've ever met. Whether or not his lists are optimized, they are always flown to the absolute maximum of their performance.

Adam was top table all three games (coincidence the first time, earned the other two) so if you're curious go watch the three streams. I don't know how well you may or may not see dice or squads but it's there.

Thanks for the replies - I will take a look at the videos.

Having skimmed the videos I am convinced it was the lucky red hat...

Thanks for uploading these.

Nice work - good job Adam.

VCXs means your opponent has to be relatively aggressive to prevent a free 75 points. Especially so with the relay nerf.
