Long and short of this is that it looks as though our lost SKU was named "Masters of the Force". Was it to be a pair of Jedi Interceptors? With 2.0 on the horizon, we may never know.

This is kind of interesting because the first page says it was updated May 4th, but 2.0 isn’t on there and was announced May 1st with a 2018 street date? Presumably this is just an oversight, but I can’t be the only one who worked backwards from street date and realized it needs to be on the boat this week to make it on time...

That sounds like it would have been a fun expansion.
It costs the same as g4h, so probably a repack like it.
At the time, the next faction without expansions was the Empire.

I know I'm biased, but that can't not be related to the prequels, c'mon.
Big ship/HotR/core set price. What big ship would they bundle Kenobi and Yoda with, another Falcon? We're not really missing any other "masters of the force", without diving deep into Legends maybe Snoke, minor Inquisitors, minor Jedi in training from the comics. It could be a pack that somehow adds the Force to the existing characters, but again, the price, that's a lot of money to ask for reprinted pilot cards and a bunch of upgrades, and including ships to boost the price would be tricky seeing as all the factions would have Force users.

Could have just added force pilots and crew to 1st edition. Imagine all the force using pilots and crew we have in second edition as first edition versions.

Possible, but again the price seems way too high, it's the same as a core set, large large ship, or HotR, 40 USD vs 50USD of the conversion kits, which not only contain those Force cards, but also over 200 other cards, medium bases, and a few sheets of the most expensive material on Earth* - Exclusive Deluxe FFG™ Disney™ Star Wars™ Diamond-Class Nano Printed High Fidelity Premium Cardboard™™.

Oh, I still expected it to contain some ships. I don't know which ships specifically, though, but reprints of existing ships for sure.

Single faction players can buy/sell on eBay. Just like with autothrusters. ?
... Huh. I heard about a product like this a while back before they cut down on playtester leaking, actually. Supposedly it was going to be Rebel/Imperial and include content for "force users who weren't Corran." I'd written it off as rumor mill by now since it was at least third or fourth hand, but it looks like it did exist.

Cold, FFG, that's cold...
This seems to line up well with a presumed time table of 2.0 beginning development.
They were planning on a “force” focused addition to the game, realized it would just be too convoluted of an addition around the same time 2.0 started to become a reality, and scrapped it.
Anyone looking at this as a prequel intro is really reaching. Surely it would have a more prequel centric name if it was prequel focused.
