Devastator Attempt

Trying to get Devastator to work. The idea is to burn at least one token per turn with Vader and two shots, burning more based on opportunity. I tried to keep the option open to slow roll or first last two targets with the ISD or slicer flotilla. It’s painful not fitting Needa/TRC or Intel Officer instead of SAd, I’m considering making room. Thoughts?

Good list. Lots of long range. If you are going to do the long range try cymoon. But if you like list how it is it’s good.

Yeah, I was inclined to try the Cymoon. The only downsides are I can’t bring HIEs (which is okay, I’d bring XI7s and they’d settle for redirecting Arq shots) and more importantly, I couldn’t bring ECM (without sacrificing the officer slot to Tua.) Accuracies are not Devastator’s friend. ?

Vader Cymoons are deadly and @PodRacer is uncanny with the red double hits when flying them

Cymoon also gives you more flexibility to slow roll if you need too. Those HIEs almost require you to fly into medium to make sure they get used. But you would clearly lose SA to get ECMs.

Cymoon also frees up some points for turbolaser upgrades on the Arqs?

Do you really need SAD with 5 activations? Burning your own tokens without IO will take too long imo and maybe add in QBT to get an early HIE proc?

mmm ECM if you burn all the tokens is useless, maybe RBD or EWS?

Without ECM you risk being unable to burn them in the first place; it’s useful early to midgame to make your tokens count.

Cymoon with intel officer + spinal + xi7 + devastator + IF + GT would mean a very first shot of 8 dice at long range!!

Not saying the intel officer trick worth it neither to use it every time you could but for the first shot is not that bad. You would roll 6 red dice and choose contain. If you want a red from CF you better roll it now. Vader. Devastator. CF if you wanted a blue die. IF to fix any red blank left.

7.3 average dmg if CF was a red die, before Vader. Not counting IF.

7.1 average dmg if CF was a blue die, after Vader. Not counting IF.

High chances of at least one accuracy what with xi7 is a really deadly shot. And they are 2 shots (the second one without CF though)

This is my Devistator list. Flew it last night and came out with a good win. Still tweaking it but was a lot of fun. May change the Raider out for another Float, but the Raider gives good AA. By the 5th round was throwing 6 red 5 Blue was good fun
