Clone Wars is Back!

I guess I'm coming across wrong here. I want it in the game too. I'm just trying to wrap my head around it.

My point with the AT-TE is that as a ground vehicle, other than it maybe not fitting as well on the board, slots into the game perfectly. With a LAAT, it just seems to me that the game may shift drastically. But this is based off what we currently have or will soon be getting in the game. Who knows if that will change between now and a potential Clone Wars release. Who knows if that will even happen at all!

I apologize if I'm coming off negatively. Your ideas look great for the unit. Hopefully FFG will satiate all of our wants for the units in this game in due course.

Thank you, I kinda came up with that off the cuff.

Yea, I wasn't looking for you to do that I was sort of musing, "I wonder what it would look like" and then you put it together, and it does look good. That one turn when it's embarking/disembarking it will be a sitting duck. One would have to be very careful.

I'd also do the ball turrets as separate , like you automatically get two but you only get half the dice out of each arc.

What about having them be hardpoint upgrades, they don't come stock. I've seen many versions of the ship without them.

Yeah, they're a hardpoint upgrade, but they come as a pair. So it's like 2 red one white, pierce 2 impact 2 for each one. you can fire both in the same round for free but they're shooting opposite arcs. I put the I2/P2 on them because they were shown in AotC to be signficanlty more powerful, using the "death star" converging beam and just nuking a shielded Droideka.

AT-TE would be too large. (specifically too long)

LAAT/i was also the super iconic vehicle of the GAotR (much like the helicopter for the USA in Vietnam)

They dont have to make the at-te in scale

Well if it's going to be on the same table as an AT-ST it better be somewhat in scale.
