Well, there no prequel stuff in Xwing or Armada...
Not counting the lovely ARC and stuff from Rebels

Yeah. I took a look at the first part of the unfinished Bad Batch arc and that is definitely Hunter, leader of Clone Force 99, on Anakin's left. That's Fort Anaxes that they're in and left me with one big question. What the **** happened there between what we see in the trailer and when we see it in Rebels? No giant chunks of rock floating above the base or Fyrnocks in the trailer but both in the 2 Rebels episodes. Something really bad happened but what it is we don't know.

Well didn't they have a lot of proton bombs there? Well lets just say the Empire quickly outlawed Deathstick spots after that incident, especially around things that go boom.
Well that is the planet that Sabine is from... Coincidence? I think not.

That was a different planet with General Kalani. I looked it up on Wookieepedia. There was a planetary catastrophe that turned Anaxes into a asteroid field but somehow the base survived intact. After that, the abandoned base was used as a Rydonium depot and for clandestine meetings.

I like my head canon better.
Step 1: Sabine is born.
Step 2: Half the planet gets exploded.

Well....that would explain Concord Dawn then....which is the image I wished FFG had used for the Mandalore Open play mat.
Edited by T70 DriverWell thinking about the episodes they had the animatics for
they will probably be doing
Bad Batch
The Kyber Crystal one
Ahsoka’s Walkabout
aNd then end it with the Seige of Mandalore

she grows up. The hard way, when you look at some of the crud she goes through...

Correct on the first 2. But, because those 2 arcs are both 4 episodes long, there isn't enough episodes left to cover the last 2 arcs you listed. The last arc will primarily be the Siege of Mandalore with what Ahsoka did during her absence being discussed during that arc.
Is this definitely going to be a one off season?

After the way The Last Jedi split the fan base(not going into that argument here) and Disney's apparent attitude of not caring about the complaints of their core demographic(again not the place to discuss), the move to bring back a beloved show might just fit the bill. The Clone Wars fans have been campaigning for it's return for literally years, and many will see this bit of fan service as a bit of an olive branch. It really feels like FFGs move to bring the Gunboat to XWMG after the community asked for it for years. I am really happy it's coming back. Maybe it can fill in some gaps for Ashoka's story between the end of TCW and Rebels.
If Disney REALLY cared about its core demographics, they'd run the new show on cable like Rebels and NOT as another streaming money-grab. This "olive branch" is loaded with thorns. Count me out.

Considering they are doing the series finale, very likely.

Yeah but the nature of the programme was such that even after finishing ongoing story arcs (including the “main” one, if such a thing can be said to exist) they could continue to make more pretty much indefinitely. They could even hop back in time a little and include some pre-CW stories about Obi-Wan and little Ani and I doubt many people would object just on the grounds of the series’ name.

They ditched the achronological approach in season 4 IIRC, but yeah, this is a possibility. Or maybe the finale is in the trailer but it won't be in the first season.
It might happen but it's pure wishful thinking at this point, they said 12 episodes so I don't expect more to avoid disappointment.

Depending on their model, Disney streaming could really be worth the money with all the strong IP they own.

I just hope that they don’t charge an arm and a leg for the service... but this is Disney we’re talking about so my hopes aren’t too high.

I think since Disney is about to become the majority shareholder of Hulu, they might not need to develop an exclusive Disney streaming service.
As a personal note, I don't know about you guys, but Hulu quality just isn't as good as many of it's contemporaries.
It's not an issue, if pricing is dumb or you don't want to subscribe to 20th streaming service for one programme , pirating TV shows is trivial.
Besides there surely will be a 7, 14 or 30-day trial, more than enough to watch 12 episodes.

Did they? Heh, I didn’t even notice! I binge watched it all though, so I don’t remember where the seasons even changed.

That’s very wise. We must train ourselves to let go of everything we fear to lose.

I'm already paying for Disney on cable. Not about to pay extra. If they don't run it on regular cable, forget it. No way it'll be "worth it".

What? How is the inconvenience of cable TV in any way comparable to streaming? In the best case (where it would, as I said, be really worth the money) Disney is building a Netflix for their own IP, meaning you could, for any occasion, watch any media under the Disney umbrella. So want something for the kids? Just put on any of the classics, you literaly have access to all of them. In the mood for some popcorn movies? Marvel/Star Wars got your back. Without needing to adjust to a broadcast schedule. I honestly can't comprehend how cable could be worth anything nowadays (not too familiar with US TV, though, I'd still not pay for TV broadcast, ever).

I don't want to threadjack this into a discussion of the merits of cable. Let's just say that US cable TV offers a lot of viewing alternatives, and few of them require payment per view like Netflix (which I never use).

Netflix is unlimited viewing for a monthly subscription, not pay per view.

And 100% worth every penny.
