Yea I was just a guy that really liked Armada from the beginning of the game so I have a lot of friends here. Like they said, I have been in Africa for 2 years serving as a missionary for my church (and consiquently have been armada free) and I just returned

I like the X2.0 solution, new independent factions. Makes balancing everything easier.
I want clone wars factions even more than a Super Star Destroyer.
And I was only a MILD prequel era fan...
Already made a reaction video and everything - this is crazy exciting! THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A BETTER TIME!

I think that's what we'll get too. I do hope so I think that would seriously give a shot of adrenaline to the game. So with 2 new factions what would be the first wave of new ships?

I wonder if they would release them in 2 seprete waves, because each faction would probably need to be released with at least 2-3 ships+ Fighters inorder to start and 8 expansions is alot for one wave

The speculation is gonna be huge around here for a while. You picked a good time to come back. It is a lot for one wave but at the same time it seems weird with only one of the factions.

Venator, Acclamator, Consular, Arq, ARC-170, Y-wing, Z-95, Nu-class shuttle, Jedi Ace pack
Providence, Recusant, Munificent, Hardcell, Vulture, Trifighter, Hyena, Sheathipede
Bam done
Just now, clontroper5 said:I really did not expect many people to know about that haha, but yea that kind of thing
yeah just saw someone else answered which somewhat later.
Welcome back anyway,

Well, Assaj and Cad Bane means they beat us to the punch there...
Duplicate.

With her "leaving" him and it just added that much more to a sense of loneliness for him in a Jedi order in which the jedi council clearly doesn't trust him. It worked really well in helping push him to becoming Vader.
IS IT THOUGH?
Remember that, in the Rebels era, Ahsoka Tano is the one person in the galaxy who knows both of the following two important things. One, that there's a cave with time-traveling powers. And two, that Darth Vader used to be an alright guy before a series of tragic mistakes.
The trailer is intentionally building up Ahsoka's return like she didn't only recently leave Anakin. The big reunion is mainly from the audience's perspective. And she's standing next to some Mandalorian woman definitely Bo-Katan, aka Starbuck.
Ahsoka's drivin' a mother-flippin' Man-Delorean on a mission from the Force to rescue Anakin Skywalker! Where we're going, we don't need hyperdrives!
Edited by NostromoidFirst off I can’t say how happy this makes me. Getting to see my childhood favorite get one last lap to finish this as it was meant to, with two Interceptors flying off to save the Chancellor, I can’t be more happy.
That said given how far along the animation looks this has been in the works for a bit now. You know what else has been in the works for a while now? Wave 8. I know everyone has already said it, but I’m going to because it feels good. FFG has a Disney endorses prequel show and massive fan support. The timing could not be more ideal for a prequel era for Armada, X-Wing, and Legion. Perhaps what we’ve been waiting on will be the reason I got into Armada in the first place. I always preferred Venators to ISD’s and Recusants and Munificents to Nebulons and Assault Frigates.

As exciting as Clone Wars Armada would be, just remember that this is an announcement for one final season of the show.
On one hand, it does put the era back into the spotlight, so it might spark a revival of CW content.
On the other hand, it's only going to be around for one season (unless... money?). So, it depends on whether the powers that be estimate that two new factions can be permanently supported in the various miniatures games drawing only from content we've seen before plus twelve new episodes (exclusively locked behind a premium cable network).
Hard to say what this really means. But if FFG isn't confident about their expectations management, they should tread carefully at GenCon.
Well if we look at it carefully, I noticed 12 episodes equates to 3 arcs, since Clone Wars arcs were 4 episodes each from pretty much season 4 onwards. If we presume 8 of these are the Bad Batch and Crystal Crisis arcs, that leaves 4 episodes, for presumably the siege of Mandalore and Attack on Coruscant. While this will be an extremely fitting end to the Clone Wars as it was meant to be, this is far from all the episodes they had planned.
There was going to be an Ahsoka on her own arc, a Boba Fett vs Cad Bane arc, a Maul and Talzin vs Sidious Dooku and Grievous arc, an arc that covered the Ventress and Vos story in Dark Disciple, and perhaps some other filler episodes.

If TCW can sell more toys than the movies have been we'll see more seasons of it.
Dear FFG people who might be reading this forum:
I really, really want to see Armada capitalize on this opportunity to release ships from the Clone Wars and Prequels. The Clone Wars is an exciting series and highlights many of the things that make Armada an interesting and worthwhile concept thanks to its focus on larger scale combat and the characters whose lives are affected by it. I would rather have opportunities to explore The Clone Wars in its fullness than limit players to only the most iconic ships of the Original Series and New Series. We've already seen players gladly embrace ships from the prequel era like Gozanti Cruisers and Arquitens and the Pelta.
If Clone Wars comes back - even for just a season, it makes it full DisneyCanon, not just "left over from old Canon" stuff. That gives FFG a much better argument for being able to make TCW-era stuff.
The main problem may be scale. The biggest Republic ship is the Venator, but that's only slightly bigger than the smallest CIS ship - the CIS ships are huge. Still, a Republic faction wouldn't need many new ships; Acclamator, Venator (cross-faction with Empire), squadron pack (V-19, V-wing, ARCs, Eta-2s?), maybe Consular-class for flotillas, and a cardboard conversion kit for CR90s, Peltas, 'kittens and VSDs? Not sure what they'd do for large base ships.
CIS would be much more problematic. They're all pretty big; the smallest on the Wiki, the Munificent-class - is bigger than the AFMkII. The Lucrehulk is double an ISD across. Although with some of the ships there seem to be "big" and "small" versions - scale seems to have been messed up a bit at some point.
FFG making Clone Wars stuff ALSO helps Disney promote Clone Wars, Season 7, AND their new Streaming Platform.
Disney should practically be BEGGING FFG to make Clone Wars factions at this point! OMG DO IT DO IT DO IT!
If they don't use this extra season to show us a Victory-class Star Destroyer, so we can finally patch that poor boat, I'm going to be really mad.

I'm so done with FFG jamming unwanted content for the rest of us down our throats. I left X-wing because 1. Scum content took up half the wave content and 2. the one R/E ship we got each wave was the dregs. The TIE Interdictor Punisher? You've got to be kidding me.
And now you're asking us GCW fans to take a backseat to Seperatists and Republic forces that we can't use to augment our current forces? On top of an expansion model that is already roughly 1-2 waves per year? And you're going to pack tactically-important cards in ship packs that force us to commit to another faction?
Hard pass. X-Wing was enough.
If you want clone content, Rebels get sepratists and empire gets republic. That's the only way I can get behind adding clone wars content. We have precedent with the Arquitens. Fans can generate their own "Clone Wars" tournaments by restricting ship selection to canonical vessels in the cartoon. Otherwise, I'm not interested... but I am down for a rebel-operated Recusant as a medium ship acting as a super nebulon.
It's what I'd expect if First Order and resistance came to the game- I want to use them with the current factions I have now- as that's pretty much where they'd go. I don't want another era that locks away my favorite ships from play.

Totally agree, also by incorporating it as empire/pub, rebels/seps not only do current forces get boosted but you can still do clone wars battles as a separate standalone..

Well, all I would say to this is 1) no one is forcing you to buy anything you don’t want. There’s a beautiful little thing called eBay where you can buy pretty much any card you want at a fraction of the cost of the ship itself. 2) That’s extremely presumptive for you to do dramatically say “take the back seat”. How long do you think the prequel fans here have been waiting for something? Easy for you to just wave people aside and dismiss them when you have your own game all the way you want. 3) who ever said people couldn’t play CIS vs Empire or Rebels vs Republic? The tech in Star Wars has been the same way for a long time, so cross era battles are entirely feasible.
