I think it's inevitable. If that's the show Disney is backing they're gonna want to cash in. They've obviously been working on it a while, could explain the "something big" and the long wait between announcements.

I mean they are also working on a sequel show called Star Wars Resistance and I believe Resistance will come before the new season of Clone Wars.

We'll see, I think this is a clear sign that they wanna invest a little more in the clone wars. As much crap as Disney has taken over the sequels, I wouldn't bet them risking fistfuls of cash.

The Clone Wars is a well fed cash cow of unreleased products. And the fanbase has been moaning about it for some time now. Sounds like easy money to me.

The highlighted part right there. Toy sales and merchandising for the new stuff have been in the toilet. Clone Wars means getting back into the pockets of long time fans that they've lost.

I'm pretty pumped up about it for sure. TCW was so good and just kept getting better. I hated the Ahsoka book, only made it about half way so I can't wait to see her back in Filoni's hands

You know they're gonna tap the TCW vein for everything now and I'm glad to see it. This makes me excited for Star Wars again in a way that the movies haven't been able to do.

If CIS and Republic are new factions revealed as the something big I would be so happy. Also so excited for the show to be back, but I kinda like where they left things with Anakin and Ashoka? With her "leaving" him and it just added that much more to a sense of loneliness for him in a Jedi order in which the jedi council clearly doesn't trust him. It worked really well in helping push him to becoming Vader.
