"So we had a big day planned for Saturday and then some crazy stuff happened. So basically a Matatu (public transport van) crashed into a Motorbike, and injured/killed the motorbike driver and his passangers. This made the Motorbike drivers all over Angry so they Beat up the Driver of that matatu and then burned it. of course when the other Matatus Drivers heard about the burning of that first Matatu they all decided revenge was needed, They went on a hunt for the Motorbike drivers and started a big gang fight. We heard about this violence, and that fact that it was centered in the area we were suppose to work in that day, so we decided to return to our Flat and wait for it to cool off. About 1:00 pm we asked some memebers from the area and they said it seemed safe now so we decided we would try and make it to our 2:00 appoinment, just then a group of poeple marched past our apartment building. It was a mob of nearly 200 poeple carrying clubs and stones, clearly looking to cause some trouble, and sure enough about 20 minutes later our Member Informant calls Exclaiming that "ITs a War!" and tells to stay in side. we decided that was smart and spent the day inside baking random things in our oven. Most notible are those Lionhouse rolls you sent me awhile back, they tasted fantastic, and some brownies."
