I wouldn't say it confirms the wings don't move. He was just afraid to put any pressure on it. We have video of the wings moving.

Wait the wings DONT move? I thought they made a big deal out of the fact that 2.0 fang fighters would have moving wings

Apparently they BoLS got a bad model, or maybe the wings are stiff. They do move though.

Watching him rotate the wing and seeing the pressure being put on the peg and socket has me a bit concerned. Sure, a rotating wing is good and all but how many pegs and sockets will be broken because of it?

not to mention the peg prevents 360 rotation. :-/

why not mount it like a b-wing? guess i'll have to give modding a try!

If you magnetize it, it may be low enough profile for the wings to go 360 when not on the base.

What's the frequency of good models to bad models going to be?

Thinking I won't buy this ship online. At least not right away.

One thing might be try rotating the wings before you put it on the peg to avoid the risk of popping the peg off. Just hold it by the nose and give it a try. If it’s stiff, but does move, give it a few spins to see if it loosens up. Just my .02 Galactic Credit.

You can ask for them to switch it out. It is advertised as moving, so they have to.

Hope afterburners show up in the conversion kit since it's in the expansion after all.

It’s so obvious that the wings move. The model is crooked and we’ve already been told that they DO move and have seen them move. Why wouldn’t he try to move them harder when he sees it’s already a little crooked!?!?

So who all remembers getting their lambda and the wings feeling like they were going to break if you forced them down?

i suspect that is what’s happening here and they just didn’t want to risk anything while film8ng the video.

Another classic tale of risk vs reward.

Take no risks and you may be ridiculed for not having the fortitude or strength to turn the wings.

A lesson to future video web loggers: We learn more from mistakes than from easy victories. Just spin the dang wings. If they break for you on camera, tens of others will be spared the same fate.

I can’t help but wonder now if his wings were bad, most saws renegades x wings are bad, how long will it be before moving parts get discontinued because of crap overall quality? Not a promising start. To model gurus, I’ve heard paint is a likely culprit for this. Is this a fixable quality issue or can we expect high fail rates on moving ship parts?

gonna have to mod it so the peg is behind so i can fidget spin my fang fighters and annoy the crap outta my opponent

No no no you’ve got it all wrong. You WANT to get a model with bad wings. Then you can contact customer service and they’ll send you a replacement model with good spinning wings. Then you end up with 2 models (1 of them just slightly defective) for the price of 1.
