Hey guys and dolls,
With the new Starter sets are there any cards unique to them (excluding Han, curse you FFG) that are good enough to warrant a second copy of the sets?

Entangle, Crash Landing, Heirloom Lightsaber, and Hidden Blaster are all competitive cards that are exclusive to the starters.
Yeah the above mentioned cards are very good/used often.
Heirloom is the new defaulto redeploy blue weapon. It only redeploys FROM blue, but generally lightsabers went on them anyway.
I guess for now I'll just get one of each. Probably look into a second copy of the Luke/Han later.
Definitely worth getting 2 copies of each starter.
While yes you could use some of the cards in two starters, many will be a waste and just collect dust in a binder. You can buy singles if you just want the 2nd Han die. 2 player starter set buy 2 , but the single faction starters I'd just buy singles for cards you actually want to use. (unless you see them on sale for 75% off)
I get by with just one of each starter. In time you'll just fill spaces with other cards. Ultimately though, it will depend on where you'll be playing your games and how competitive you are.
Starter R2-D2 is legit, too.

While this is true, you only really need 1 unless you are creating multiple decks.

Or want a better chance of drawing it early.
People often include repeats of uniques to draw it quicker. Lightsabers and podracers generally just use Force Pull // Start Your Engines instead since they can grab any of their type you want.
Hello everyone,
Instead of recreating another topic for this question, I reuse this one.
1) I've already two starters Rey and two Kylo Ren + multiple cards from Awakening and Spirit of Rebellion. Do I need to buy one copy of the "two player box" ? Are there unique cards in there ?
2) Does the Draft pack contain any unique cards ? Because I read it on the website of my favorite webstore.
To clarify what has been said above, how many copies of each of the discussed items (Luke Set / Boba set / Draft pack / two players box) do you advise to buy ?
Thanks in advance
Elrad
It would seem the general rule is if its a fixed composition box set from FFG you buy two of them.
Rivals cards are completely unique to the set
None of them are particularly good, apart from Hidden Motive which is just amazing 0-cost mitigation
Rivals box is largely intended for draft only. You can use the cards elsewhere but they are noticably lackluster on purpose.
In a draft setting, though, they are very important. Outside of a draft....eh i think i use 2 of the cards casually lol

I would definitely recommend two draft packs to any new player. As mentioned above, Hidden Motive is great. But, also, the Anakin is really good for villain and decent for hero decks. Crafted Lightsaber and Fang Fighter make it into lots of decks as well.
Plus, you can play in draft events which is the funnest way to build up a collection.
