Devastator and Captain Needa

By Shadow345, in Star Wars: Armada

If I replace one of my tokens with an evade, does the token count as discarded for the effect of the Devastator title?

No.

It's spelled out specifically in Devastator's entry in the FAQ.

But it does mean you can exhaust all 4 tokens per attack meaning, should you wish, that you can dump all 4 defense tokens after being only attacked twice.

except you can't use both redirects in one attack....

But with Vader and Intel officer your own tokens during your attack is how a lot of people power up their devastator quickly.

You replace a Redirect with Needa's Evade. You have 4 separate tokens that can all be spent at the same time (barring accuracy results, of course).

Right, when I overheard someone talking about Devastator Captain Needa synergy that's probably what they were referring to.

OH SORRY, I only ever bother getting rid of the contain for Needa.

It is fun to watch someone learn that you can spend a contain on a shield damage or a brace on 1 hit if you darn well please. I mean, it's obvious, but the first time they attack devastator with a YWing and get a hit and you turn EVERYTHING red it really makes them think about their life.

Devastator makes people think about a lot of things, and it's really fun. I had an opponent tell me their ship was safe at long range of an ISD-II with no tokens and I told them devastator doesn't have a range restriction. They've never looked at an ISD the same again.
