I could be wrong but my approach was: make an accusation, give reasoning, use vote to create pressure that helps reveal scum or prove innocence.

Yeah, it looks likely he's got previous mafia experience, and he was on pod because i was policy voting him.. Easy one to hide behind imo! An interesting chain of events, and I strongly commend CaribbeanNinja on his detective work - I really don't know how you guys string together a bunch of innocuous comments and determine someone is scum - I take my hat off to you (I'm not wearing a hat, because, Antipodes, it would just fly off into space... also it is winter and I'm inside).

I did not vote for Jabbawookie - my reason being that by the time the train was started I was already asleep - I really need to stop playing these games - timezones are a real killer (especially when I get Vig killed at 3am ...). Even if I had been awake I can't say I would have voted Jabbawookie - I have trouble following the chain of forum post evidence - I prefer vote ananlysis.

Voted for LTD because I made a joke involving the word vanilla. Has now tried to start a case against CNinja suggesting that CNinja is scum because he started a train against another scum, thus protecting himself? Seems a very long bow to draw.

The setup indicates that it is nightchat only.

So I don't think they could tell each other to jump on the bus for town cred.

Tranceform would be risking a great deal to be a scum hammering scum - if only because of the paranoid nature of these games, and our tendency to vote for these kinds of people. Others have questioned whether Tranceform is more Mafia savvy than indicated - though I feel even a cursory reading of Mafia how to play guidelines will indicate that vote no-lynch is a pretty strong Mafia tell (certainly the ones I read a few weeks ago when I got into this particular sub-cult said so).

I know some people indicated we ought not speculate on town roles, etc, but I've looked again at the setup document - and have some thoughts on SCUM roles - which are probably not worth sharing but I will do so anyway.

There are 8 possible combinations for scum setup, ranging from 7 Ts (the equivalent of flipping 7 coins and having them all come up "heads" to 0 Ts (7 Tails).

Of these 8 combinations, I feel we can eliminate 5 of them, because we had two nightkills - which suggests Serial Killer (we could have a Town vigilante who just got one of the town guys - if so "Woo! Good Job" [/s]).

We eliminate 7Ts because we have at least one C (1-shot Cop - now dead).

We eliminate 6Ts, 4Ts, 2Ts, and 0Ts because of the Serial Killer.

Which leaves us with:

5Ts - Goon (now dead), Godfather, Serial Killer - I think this is the best possible (though unlikely) - our Cop is now dead (and 5Ts means there is no other cop), so Godfather gains them nothing - only two threats to town. Huzzah!

3Ts - 2 Goons (one now dead), Roleblocker, Serial Killer - I think this is the most likely (3 heads out of seven coins likely) - which means we have a number of town roles in play (one of which is dead).

1T - Goon (now dead), Roleblocker, Godfather, Serial Killer - this is the least likely (1 head out of seven coins unlikely) - and means we have a bunch of town roles - like heaps.

Odds are we are searching for 2 more Mafia and one Serial Killer.

In the event Caldias or BrobaFett was killed by a Vigilante, it would be best for that Vigilante to come forward so we can lynch you in order to prove your claim and gain more data.

You're pretty much sound in all you said but this, *if* we have a town vig, better to ask him to REMAIN hidden and just not kill, instead of taking down another town... Even if we did that we could still have a SK..!

Always always always better to hang someone you suspect as scum over someone you suspect as town imo.. Also think we're more likely facing the roleblocker/goon as scum, a 1-shot cop and a GF seems a little OP but it's random..

In my experience they're the same as scum, they will look to eliminate people getting close.. Biggest catcher of serial killers is getting pegged as scum

Thinking about it this is starting to feel like the game couple ones back where mad was scum, saw Cals breadcrumb and killed him and then used the breadcrumb as reason for pressuring other players...

Which preyer seems to be attempting against cninja, usings cals posts again ironically and even quoting mads style of scum play...

Like legit it's half way through the day already and we've heard from only half the people playing... This isn't good enough, I know we don't have flavour as such to help convo move along but we still need to talk otherwise we're gunna wake up tomorrow with another 2+ dead town ffs...

I’m not entirely sure I follow your logic Ebon. Is it that you believe me to be scum because I think I have found a sign of scum based on a previous scum precedent and thus my uncovering of a possible scum tell makes me scum?

In which case, scum hunting will be really rather difficult indeed.
