Just curious, but I noticed nobody seems to be running a pbp game with this system here? Is there a particular reason, or just no real push from the community to do so?
I mainly ask as I'm debating running one here, but noticed this forum doesn't have a forum section at the top, dedicated to that stuff like the various Star Wars threads do.
Discord is a much better platform for pbp games, especially since there’s nothing like SWSheets for Genesys.
Theres a dice bot for discord that also tracks initiative and basic stuff for characters.
The only downside is that the servers are private so you don’t get onlookers

I never thought about that. I'd love some observers for our weird game.

I mean, it’s possible, you set a role as observer with no permission to post, but they still have to join the server rather than by chance whilst rummaging around on the games official forum.

Thanks to this thread, the mod team over on the Genesys Discord server set up a channel specifically for PbP listing/recruitment.
It's the next-best-thing to having all PbPs in one place to browse. Unfortunately, Discord isn't set up to make a PbP server easy (you'd have to DM a mod to have them create your category, create the channels, grant permissions, etc.) so we just made a place to list your games.
A few of us have tried in the past to ask the admin here at FFG to make PbP subforum, almost 3 years ago when I first started a few games simultaneously (why did I do that to myself!!)...but as far as I know nobody has ever received a response. Not sure if they're too busy and it's not a priority, but I would assume so, because they haven't ever shut down any of the many PbP threads that have been popping up over the last few years on the Star Wars forums.
I for one would love to see a dedicated forum for it, since it encourages an active community and gets more people playing the game.
