Anybody know of a piece of software to create a Dark Heresy character and generate a printable character sheet?
IE, something like Hero Lab: www.wolflair.com/index.php

I'm really hoping someone works with FFG from Herolab to get this done. A printable and full automated tracking sheet would be wonderful.

And Herolab's Tactical Console would be a great boon at our gaming table.
So I was looking at the forums for Hero Lab and apparently the matter has already been brought up. The Hero Lab guys actually want to support Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader, but Fantasy Flight Games for some reason doesn't want to license the data that would be required to do it. Kind of weird.

Not really weird at all. FFG are working under their own license with GW. It's entirely possible that there are terms prevent FFG from working out further licensing on the materials to outsource production of something like character generation software and the like.

Probably right. GW doesn't even support DH or RT in their own stores (you would think they would want to sell more miniatures) and they are not about to share their IP anymore than they can get paid for.
I am just hoping that a downloadable character sheet will make it up on FFG soon; I had to re-glue the spine of the book after copying them the first time.

www.malleus.dk has a decent thing on it, I guess.

Well, Lone Wolf actually pays to license the data for the other RPG systems they support so I don't think that is it necessarily... perhaps its just a licensing issue.

Hero Lab does have an Authoring Kit, though. With the Authoring Kit, anyone can make or add new game statistics and rules. If someone had the time and know-how, Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader and Deathwatch could all be easily created in the Authoring Kit.
The Excel thingy at Dark Reign works too.
Rather nifty, but works really slow on my Mac
The excel sheet mentioned above is what I use for all 3 games. Works pretty wellthe ugy is great about updatesbug fixes.
