Your experiences with 2.0 spoiled lists

By Pewpewpew BOOM, in X-Wing

I am very excited for 2.0. I’ve only played a couple proxy games in (playing bith sides of the Yavin lists).

Here’s what I’ve taken from these games:

~ Taking a hit from afterburners is a heavy price for a TIE Advanced. I probably won’t use it on ships w/o boost unless it is super cheap.

~ X-Wing redesign is solid. Hope to see these guys all over the place.

~ Arc-bound turrets are much more fun and interesting. I hope that double arc turrets are priced appropriately.

~ Ionizing agility 3 ships is not easy since you have to land more than 1 hit on them to give the token. This mechanic will further differentiate high and low agility ships, which is a good thing from my perspective.

What are your 2.0 proxy list take-aways?

.... uhhhh what price for Afterburners? Losing a charge?

And there’s no difference if the ship has boost or not.

I think you played that card very wrong.

He probably meant Supernatural Reflexes? It damages the ship if you perform a boost/barrel roll and the action's not on the ship.

Benthic Two-Tubes and Dutch Vander are the two rebel ships that seriously warrant being taken in place of Fenn Rau because they get to play support for free. These ships are going to be taking Focus Actions and Target Locks anyways, regardless of friendly ships, so the token passing is just icing on a cake.

2.0 Benthic in particular is deceptively powerful. With Perceptive Co-pilot and Jyn Erso crew, he's honestly kind of ridiculous with how long he stays alive for. Even more so with the fact that it can stop, rotate 180 degrees, and end up still with a focus and an evade before shooting you for 4 dice in the face.
