It is not like APT, ACM, HIE, Intel officers or xi7 didn't exist.

Or Luke, Norra, Garel's, Multiple Accuracies, MSUs, Devastator, Motti, Riekeen, Raddus, Counter-sato, Sloan and Dodanna (As you mention later)

Its a lot of points for what amounts to targeting disruption, and not necessarily great targeting disruption at that. It's not unbeatable, and its not a magic silver bullet. It might work once versus each opponent, but then they can figure out how to beat it.

With the meta of today's Armada, nothing is unbeatable....

So the title got a faq which confused my friend and me to think the card doesnt work at all. how does aspiration work then? the faq sounds like you cant move shields to exceed the max limit, which as far as i know is the value printed on the referring side of the ship.

Its talking about after you have used aspiration.

Some things allow you to move shields to it - such as Projection Experts.

Its saying that doing that doesn't let you re-break the rule Aspiration has already let you break...

Ah thank you. We were wondering what the title would do if the faq would say you cant do what the card says. :D

Before the FAQ I ran a Raddus Aspiration list with FOUR repair Flotillas tagging along behind it (+Landmonition)

That thing just would not die.

There was a lot of advice that four of them was pointless and repair crews were rubbish. Holy hellery, I could not have been happier with the list.

Did any or your opponents run DCO?

Nope. I faced a JJ list with a ISD 1 with Avenger and boarding troopers/Demo/2 flotillas and a heavy Imp Aces list. The second game was a Thrawn list with a Vic 1 Corrupter/2 Arqs/ BCC flotilla and a heavy bomber list. The third game was a Vader list with 2 Cymoons/2 flotillas and no squads.

DCO really spoils the average Sato fleets day. It's frustrating that one upgrade can neuter pretty much the entire basis of your fleet. But those are the chances you take, I suppose!

I suppose if everyone brought DCO to the table I might start rethinking my list. The officer slot is a very contested spot and I think that DCO is quite a bit down in the pecking order though. Bail, SA, IO, Brunson, Pryce, Tua, and possibly even Grint would probably be brought more often than DCO.

I'm trying a version of this list tonight, but APT instead of ACMs, EWS instead of ECM, and ER. Lando on Admo. No StM. Squads are Tycho, 2x YT-2400 and and 2x Lancer.

My Meta is Dual ISDs with Jerry or Vader, or Sloane Aces in a variety of builds.
