Local tournament coming up followed by NOVA in late August.

Time for me to choose between two potent AND fluffy fleets.

Help me decide which would be better to attack the tournies with, considering recent netlists/meta and all.

First out is Thrawn aboard Chimaera. Thrawn squadron commands allow ships ro do what they will, while the threat range from bombers is an incredible speed 5 w/Rhymer.

Once the bombers engage, switch fleet command to shields to keep ships alive. Heavy squadrons while still having to deal with the intimidation of an ISD.

This might be really good in tourney vs Raddus bombs due to the ability to reach way out and kill smallish ships intending to speed in and drop.

Like the guy on the MoF youtube video put it after getting tabled by it...piles of junk.

Its a cool flexible list made flexible by Leia. HH's with effectively to more bombers to add to thier attacks.

Where the other list has threat range, this list demands you get close and dirty. Take out that big ship before your numbers are whittled down. Profit from Most Wanted. (or stay alive thru Corona).

Which is gonna be more potent in tourney? Ive been playing both and am having trouble deciding. Local tournament coming up on the 28th of this month...will begin rigid NOVA training there.

Thrawn bombers really works when you add in ruthless strategists on the quasar and ISD. Without it, you can't burn a squad ball fast enough. And if they don't have squads, then you pound them with the bombers. It's the stronger fleet of the 2 in my opinion.

Overall I want input, but my fear is Raddus and I too think this list may be stronger. Leia list is way fun doh!

I think the Thrawn list will be better v Raddus. You can get your squads in a better position at speed 5 to block off drop options. Having said that, Raddus lists work best when they have a big target to aim at and the Leia list can better spread out. Ryhmer also means you can put your bomber blob in a place where they can shoot the Raddus drop without needing to move so can did damage even if you don't activate all bombers from ships if the ships get destroyed.
