Treasure chest in RtL

Chest in Road to Legend

For each blank on the roll = 1 item.

It's 1 item for the group or for each hero?

I read it as each hero. Like the encounters, each hero rolls a power die and you keep track of the loot and then give the party treasurer the gold. Same thing here except that the heroes can trade amongst themselves immediately for the treasure cards.

Again, that's the way I read it.

1 for the group.

ladedadedadeda (for length)

It is 1 treasure card per blank rolled (not per hero).

We have an interesting house rule the if the heroes don't receive a treasure in a chest, when the heroes open the next chest, if there is no treasure, the may trade the CP that they would normally get for one treasure.

This house rule was born out of 8 treasure-less chests in a row in our last RtL campaign.

I quoted the rules from Page 17 of the RtL book and then re-read your point. My bad. Carry on.

So each hero could in theory roll a blank, so each one would get a treasure. By the way I like that house rule.

Well, it depends on how you play. The way we play, the person who opens the chest rolls all four dice, since everything gets distributed at the time of the opening. It sounds like the way you guys play, you let every hero roll one die, which for the sake of the RAW, is six of one, half a dozen of the other.

And then I start thinking, if you let each player roll a die, are you giving them CP separately if they dont get a blank? Cause if you are, that's a big no-no!

No, no CP separation. It's just that power over your own destiny thing. I'd be fine to let the hero that opened roll all four, but not everyone gets into that. gui%C3%B1o.gif

I let my heroes choose who is going to roll. They believe in luck....THE FOOLS!!!!!

<evil overlord laughter here>

But yeah, for the purposes of my house rule, they would trade one CP for one treasure draw, no more.

The official answer will be 1 treasure per blank FOR THE GROUP ?

Yes, for the group.

You can think of it as each hero getting one "thing" based on the role (4 heroes, so roll 4 dice). If you roll 4 blanks, then you'd get 4 treasures. You don't have to divide this evenly among the heroes, but the idea is that in the search for treasure each die pretty much represents one hero searching through the chest.

The official answer is one treasure per blank, period. Not one per hero. (Sorry, but one treasure per plank for the group is mis-interpretable). If you roll 1 Blank the entire party gets 1 treasure in total , which they can give to any hero. If you roll 2 blanks, then the sum total of treasures found will be two, which can go to any hero or combination of heroes the party chooses.

How many treasures are given out per treasure roll?
Also, one treasure per blank rolled. Not per hero. Campaign mode is more about making the most of your resources than normal mode is. .
