Rules Reference not out yet, but is referred to as a separate doc in the rulebook, so there's still more to come.

Gencon prizes look great if you're a rebel player, adequate if you're Imperial, slightly disappointing otherwise, but then, coruscant is basically pure Scum so

Either TIE fighters can equip two mods or quick build cards completly ignore squad building rules. Interesting.

In 2.0 some ships will be able to equip more than one modification or perhaps none at all naturally. Upgrade slots will likely be added/removed via the app as a form of balance.

$80 for the tournament entry is a bit much FFG

You receive a core set ($40) and an expansion ($20) for participating. Oh and an alt art Luke. And a double sided quick build alt art card. And six acrylic tokens. And an acrylic ship position marker.

The intro tournament also features special rules (picking up cargo tokens etc). Here's hoping that this means there will be more scenarios in organised play in the future

Probably both; TIE ships are noted in one of the articles to often have multiple mod slots, but also there's nothing about a quick build card which means it has to agree with the points or slots in the App. Themed 'Impossible' quick build cards for events would be quite cool (say, an escape-from-the-death-star falcon with everyone on board).

Agreed. It's basically a bundle of X-wing stuff at normal cost plus $20 for a pre-release tournament where all the prize support is guaranteed participant-level prizes, which is...not unreasonable.

On an interesting and sort-of-related note, the Gen Con quick build cards are nice - I do love the fact that they've also got the upgrades nailed on to them, so you need nothing but tokens to use them in game.

With upgrade cards going up in size, that's a really good idea and I hope we see it more....

While nice I'm going to pass on these 2.0 tourneys at GenCon. Thursday is my Dealer Room day at the con and I already have enough 2.0 pre-ordered at my FLGS and don't need a second core set.
