I did not realize the core set comes with 2 position marker tokens. Neat!

Well this should at least give us a new flavor of the-sky-is-falling.

Page 10, unused focus and evade are removed during end phase.

Page 17, unused calculate are not removed during the end phase.

Typo or facto?

That's on page 14, which comes before page 17, so the calculate rule is newer and superceded it. Crisis reengaged! (/s)

Apparently http://www.X-Wing.com will be the official online rules repository for any updates to the Rules booklet. Currently it just redirects to a "Showcase" page, but I'm thinking that the rules and squad builder will be found there in the near future.

It explicitly said to remove focus and evade but omitted that sentence for calculate and reinforce. Its just a little sloppy when they were rebooting for uniformity.

pg17 just doesnt say it at all. Remove or dont remove.

Also i may have potentially noticed something neat involving SLAM. It does NOT say you cannot SLAM as a bonus action, but you can only SLAM in your "perform action step" - so if theres a way to sneak a free action during that step, FREE SLAM! probably wont happen lol

? .... so it's a non issue. The sentence wasn't omitted, it was never needed there. it's not sloppy if you read the full rule book.

Its worded that way because the RRG is divided into "Playing the Core" and "All the Rules"

Focus/Evades are the only round tokens via the Core, so they were mentioned. With all the rules, theres 7 of them. Easier to just blanket say "Remove circles" than say it in each section.

So Tractors work how we assumed, pg 18

If they have a tractor token at all, they roll 1 fewer defense die. Does not stack, and does not require more than 1 for medium/large (thank god)

Can move medium/large base ships once they get 2 or 3 (relative) tokens and becomes Tractored at that point.

Minor thing, which I'm sure most people already knew, but it appears to confirm that linked actions are optional.

"A ship can perform a linked action after it performs the action to the left of the linked action." Pg 10 (emphasis mine)

Medium or large ships decloak using the 1fwd template, boost or roll.

Large eh? Medium we knew because the Illicit says small/medium, but Large is included too finally huh? Wonder what gets that ability in the future.

Nothing about how Huge ships decloak, sadly.

Nothing about huge ships period since those arent converted to 2.0 yet.

Probably will hear about that in April

actually i think this is a flop on their end.

Im not seeing anything about boost/rolls being considered a Maneuver, and the "Fleeing the Area" rule on pg 11 only says "after executing a maneuver"

So as it stands you can be completely off the board if you got there via boost/roll LOL nice one ffg...

The text p11:

After a ship executes a maneuver, if any part of
the ship’s base is outside the play area, the ship
flees
. Much like being destroyed, a ship that flees is
removed from the game.

At most charitable reading, you check whether he fled or not after the complete maneuver, including the action.

Other question: we know that taking a TL action without a valid target wastes the action. But I don't really get that from the description.

Also: FFG so silly!

Even when a ship moves through another ship, which means the template is placed on top of that ship, the moving ship still fully executes the maneuver.

Jam action doesn't seem to extend to range 2 in arc anymore, least there's nothing under the action description that says it does
