We had turrets since day1. Ion Turrets. I was 360 noscoping before it was cool.

x-Wing hipster

FFG shipstompers are being deployed to FLGSs around the nation to stomp your old 1.0 kits, make sure to buy a conversion kit so they have to leave you alone.

Hello everyone, long time lurker in this forum and just had to create an account to reply to this post. Best one I have read yet. I love playing X-Wing, Empire for the Win!, but 2.0 hype, I am in all the way.

Only thing I'm upset about the conversion kits is how long I have to wait before I can get some.

ahhh you need to look at the glass from a different perspective. if we had actual content to talk about on the forums we wouldn't have had the beautiful dumpster fires like the MJ thread and the how to raise your kids thread.

LARGE BASES!?!?! When I was a kid, we only used our small bases AND WE LIKED IT.

Small bases? Back in my day, we had to balance the ships on the peg!

I’m finding this thread very upsetting...

I gotta pop out all this new cardboard? I've already popped out a ton of cardboard! Let me use my old cardboard, which I've already popped!

Hey, some of us like popping cardboard! That's just about the only part about X-Wing that I have to compete with my wife and kids in order to do myself!

A D20? Back in my day, we used to have to scratch 1-20 in the dirt, and then throw a rock at it to see what we got.

back in my day we just played hop scotch. I still play today, but it has a different meaning....and its a different game.

We couldn't afford numbers 2-20, and had to make do with every roll being a 1.

back in my day we got 40 rods to the hogshead and we likesd it!

Dude, you're, like, doing it wrong. It's all a lie, man. Big FFG is going to take your lunch money and your cookies and kill your puppy.

They wouldn’t dare!

Now I'm waiting on somebody to say:

"Back in my day, we used to have to scratch I-XX in the dirt, slaughter and disembowel a small animal and we got whichever number the entrails pointed to."

Those games didn't last long. You had to spend so much money on the small animals that it was almost pay-to-win. It really drove away new players.

I don't think I ever enjoyed this song considering how ridiculously overplayed it was from day one.

Needs a Pharrell Williams Happy 2.0 reboot ASAP.

I used to wait for people to say things, then I realized I really don't care and started memeing 90% of the time. Would recommend.

I didn't listen to the radio during that time frame. It was fine then. But that is an interesting thing regarding overplay. I find most overplayed songs are fine 3-4 months down the line when you can really enjoy them.

d20? d20? That stuff was easy.... try working out a 1 - 24 result (there's a 1st ed. AD&D reference for you).

We'd get a number like 5 to 14, and then left to our own devices how to generate it - none of this namby-pamby 3d4+2 nonsense.
