The coruscant invitational alt-arts are really nice
Yeah, bummer us plebes can’t get them.
Buy online
or just print it out? Printing cards is not terribly expensive.
Is this intentionally or unintentionally ironic?

*whips out destiny cards with same art at tournament* "Hey its an official FFG product!"
Edited by impspyNo irony. I love Jabba, and that hilarious pic of him laughing is great. OH HO HO HO HO!
The other crew cards all have clear, visible artwork which looks a lot better than many (not all) of the 1.0 alt-arts. 1.0 Did have come crackers (Ketsu Onyo is amazing) but it also had plenty of duds (like Ello Asty) and many dull-looking alt-arts (alt-art tactician is less cool than the regular one)

Oh destiny... Too bad my yellow villain control wasn't viable in the beginning, and then I stopped.
I opened Jabba like 4 times within a month. Should have waited a bit longer
The alt art dials are what caught my eye. What a brilliant idea.
You want to see good alt-art? This is for the upcoming Australia-New Zealand Team Championship. Its unofficial but it knocks lots of FFGs actual promos out of the water. Wish I was able to make it to try snag one.
I'm not even that much of a Scum player, but I would love to try and get the custom dial backers:
Actually, a nice way of making them look pretty cool, and even more visible of a bragging right.

Now, those are cool. Almost makes you wonder why they didn't do something like this from the very start.

There is always the possibility that nobody thought of it. Seems obvious now, but...

Re:Replies to this:
Actually, one of the reasons people don't do this is added dis-information. In a high stakes game, I shuffle up my dials and don't place them immediately next to their corresponding ships, so that my opponent's don't know which ships I think have an obvious move, and which ones I might be waffling over. I note that I tend to get more blocks in a game when I do this. With generic old dials, you can't tell which ship I just finished placing a move for.
Another piece of fog of war I use is to NOT use the new dial covers: Most of the time, players will assume they know/remember every dial perfectly. In practice, that's RARELY the case. And over the course of a game, revealing the dials over and over, only I know the dial perfectly, and my opponents don't get to check for free each time I reveal. (If they ask, I will totally of course let them look through the dial, but usually they assume wrongly that they remember every move). I've surprised a few players with "That ship has that move??? Wow, I forgot."
Good LORD this is a lovely set of prizes.
It's a real shame I wasn't able to participate in the final round of the Birmingham open to have a chance at going - though I doubt I could have won it, and I doubt I could have gone even if I had.
But I would LOVE a full set of those

This sounds more like an antidotal placebo effect more than anything. But keep doing it if you honestly think people will notice and care. I usually don't read into people's dial placement that much. Every person is different and trying to read each is just a fruitless exercise. Most of the time my dials are down before combat ends.
The new gencon quick-build cards and Luke are also fantastic.

Because the new dials have the maneuvers on the front, not the back like the old ones. The backs of t he old dials had to be plain so they didn't give away information. An opponent could tell the move you selected just from looking at your face down dial as long as they can see where the front cover window is located relative to the artwork on the back. The moves would always be in the same place relative to distinguishing features on the back artwork.
This wouldn't have been possible in 1E.

That is a nice alt-art. There have been a few really great unofficial alt-arts and I wasn't trying to detract from them - I'm just pleased that FFG arts are looking excellent!
Is there a link to the ANZ champs? Or is it one of those ones where you have to be invited and try out for a team and whatnot
Just booked my flights to the US. Can't wait 'till it's October!
