No armada is not dead. Not by any means. I apologize if I pissed you off. Not my intent. I just find it absured that everything else gets an article every other week and we get nothing. Again I'm sincerely sorry to upset you guy.

You’re good. “AID” talk is just getting repititious on the forum, and like @BrobaFett said in his post, it’s just not funny anymore, and it causes people (like me) to get salty.
Instead of just waiting for the next article (which I want just as much as the next person), we should be trying to grow the game. More people playing means more product being sold, which will lead to more attention from FFG. I converted three from X-Wing before I left WA, already have one in AZ, and have two or three Learn to Play demos coming up in the next month. This will also create more opportunities to play, which according to the last week’s posts, people seem hard pressed to find a game outside of Vassal or TTS. Like I’ve said before, with people bored waiting for X-Wing 2.0, now is the perfect time to get them into Armada.

Well I mean, Salvation used to be a nice trailer ship in an Ackbar list, but it’s been supplanted by a dcap Pelta with either IF or STM depending on the rest of the fleet

No. I refuse. For 3 more points, I can have CR-90 A's with Enhanced Armament, or TRC for less (but EA lets me shoot through obstruction). Furthermore, I am faster, and can equip and defensive retrofit. That said, the best variant may be something with ~4 CR-90s, a pelta (for IFF), 2 GRs, and a SFC. Might be moderately okayish. Although I think this is an interesting discussion to have because it makes your opponent make some tough decisions.

I tried this with some folks I know who play other FFG stuff and the sad reality of it is that Armada is considered too expensive to play alongside any other game and out of the 5 people I spoke to 3 of them thought the game had already been cancelled and the remaining two were not interested in getting into a game with (and I quote) "Such a lack of support from FFG".
