You might want to look up what straw man means. Insults have nothing to do with misrepresenting an argument. Maybe you are thinking about ad hominem, which is not the same as insulting. (Note that I am now asking for clarification - that’s also different from a straw man).

Distraction is also not the same as a straw man argument, even if it were distraction. But the sequence was: 1. Guac made some good points. 2. You chimed in declaring Kaine the winner because of a presumed straw man. 3. I chimed in calling that false as calling a fallacy does not refute the whole argument, plus you‘d have to demonstrate the fallacy. If anything this would reemphasize the points Guac made as they should not be dismissed as flippantly as you tried.

Right. I don't think I won because I was implied to be a nazi,or at all. Still don't think that **** should stand.

It's getting tiresome, because sadly people don't seem to be able to make a separation between real life and opinions about spaceships.

Or the fact that even if they think that, why they feel the need to address it in this forum.

My political views should not be part of the discussion, and I shouldn't have to defend myself in this regard.

Accepting the rebel plot armor in the movies is a pretty common understanding in the fandom. Using it as proof for me being a nazi, is a bit of a stretch. The only reason I can think of to bring this up, is to undermine my character.

I'm perfectly capable of that myself, thank you very much. But I don't want to discuss with people who want to attack my person.

I remember an episode of clone war ( so many fan here) in which some Jedi asked clones to finish all geonosian with flamethrower. Do not always confronte "your" star wars with others or canon. For me, TIE are faster than ywing

X-Wing 41.

End of Discussion.

It could still be 5. Why would anyone take a Blue Escort over a Zelot?

If the X-wings become just as scarce as they did after the Biggs nerf then I can see them dropping Blue down to 40 points.

I can't think of any reason to take a Blue Escort over a Zealot, because IN 1 is superior for blocking, and IN 2 really isn't an advantage for anything, but the fact that a Blue Escort has a higher IN while the Zealot has an illicit slot is why they're the same price.

IN2 means you PS kill Academy Pilots, which is Actually Relevant Again almost certainly.

If the world is full of a race to the bottom in initiative, getting up to Init 2 allows PS kills. Ahem. Init-kills. Paul Heaver won his first worlds in part by swapping Blue Squadron Pilots for Dagger Squadron to get that higher PS.

there is still no way to run 5 xwings

But you can run 5 Cartel Marauders.
