Hi everyone! I'm new to the game and to GMing in general, but I have players who are adamant to play as Tarsunts (big furry Resistance dudes) and Asogians (the ET species who cameoed in the prequels). Any ideas? Thanks!

If you're all new to the game I would suggest avoiding making up stats and simply re-skin existing species that are similar. The game is mostly narrative so the backstory and racial attributes of the species can be bolted onto stats that fit the bill, so have a look and see if anything jumps out as matching these well, but I have a couple of suggestions just in case:

For the Tarsunts I would roll with a Cerean if you have access to the stats as they're supposed to be intelligent and strong problem solvers but lack much agility, and despite being shorter than average they're not weak so 2 brawn fits well.

As for the Asgonians, I would maybe roll with the stats of the Drall , since the ET aliens aren't really physically impressive or agile, but have a decent amount of intellect I imagine.

But yeah, for your first time I wouldn't try and reinvent the wheel.

I really like the Tarsunt Species and I hope they get more explanation in the future.
