Just caught it, apologies if it's already been mentioned. They use the 1 forward template, but finally it can be done.

Er, not quite.

A medium or large ship can still decloak using the 1 straights, but large ships have to get Cloak some other way.
Edited by RakaydosNo ship that small has a cloaking device!
Millenium Falcon is a large ship. (In game)

Irony (I never did like the TIE Phantom for this very reason).
Edited by AmbaryernoThe rules are probably there to give them cover for future Large ships with a cloaking action built in, like Maul's Sith Infiltrator.

In fairness, not every Imperial officer can be expected to know about every R&D project.

Let's not forget that the Empire managed to build two different moon-sized space stations and kept it largely secret until the projects were nearly complete.
The First Order did the same to an entire PLANET, and also managed to secretly crack the secret of tracking objects through hyperspace.

An achievement so inconceivable that it took a mechanic and a former janitor whole seconds after finding out about it to figure out a detailed plan on exactly how it could be thwarted!
well, yeah! Cause FN-2187 mopped the research lab of course!

Did TLJ leave anyone else wondering what Finn's sanitation skills are going to give him insight on in episode 9?

(Finn and Poe find themselves in an advanced prototype Missile Boat)
Poe: What the...I can't figure out these controls at all!
Finn: That's because they weren't based on existing fighter designs; they developed this cockpit from the MR-C133N floor sweepers like I used to use! Leave this to me, and arm those Clorox torpedoes!
Just imagine,
”geeez I sure miss turrets, this is so much harder”
falcon pre move roll, does maneuver and boost
“oh look it doesn’t matter I still got you”

Time to rain on your parade then. Explain to me how the Millenium Falcon was tracked to Yavin if not for tracking through hyperspace?

the ship was not tracked. it had a homing beacon planted on it while on the death star.

"You're sure the HOMING BEACON is secure aboard their ship?"
Just now, PanchoX1 said:the ship was not tracked. it had a homing beacon planted on it while on the death star.
Yep. Tarkin let them escape with the beacon securely planted, at Vader's instruction. Leia even acknowledges a belief that the Empire let them go because their escape was too easy, and that they were probably being tracked.
She then proceeds to head with them to the secret base ANYWAY.

Tell, me, what is a homing beacon used for? I'll wait...

That was the breakthrough for the First Order. They were able to track the Resistance fleet through hyperspace without a homing beacon.

to locate something or some one. They did not get tracked through hyperspace the way the first order tracked the resistance. there was no homing beacon involved with that. Or did you have some other point that I may have missed? admittedly, I chimed in to answer the question about the Falcon in episode 4 and didn't read the more recent posts.
Edited by PanchoX1You call it a breakthrough, I call it breaking the established universe to advance a seriously poorly written plot.
It's something that they both seeded in Rogue One where Jyn mentions a project for "Hyperspace Tracking," and paid off in Last Jedi. So yes, it was a breakthrough, regardless of your TLJ opinion.
The ability to track ships through hyperspace was hinted at in Rouge One.

You haven't been paying attention to the established universe then

A New Hope really ruined the Star Wars franchise... -1/10. Totes buttmad at plothole that ruins established cannon.
